car is very strong so it would be good for parking lot racing... Parts availablilty may be hard to find though..

I will second this post. I raced mine for 4 years (which I still have). Some of the parts are interchangeable with the MTX 4 so if you went the MTX 3 route, you can collect parts that way. I have a used one for sale if you want to get one or get it for parts. I do have spare arms, steering blocks, gears, etc with mine.

I have also continued to run the car. Very realiable and works well in low traction conditions that you will find in parking lots. I use the "Older" coarse gears, which live better in tracks with some small grit on it. Parts are around, and if you need, I have a pretty large back stock of everything. Also as Jlock said, used cars are out there if you really get into a bind.

Can you run all of the latest wheels on the MTX-3? Meaning same offset and hex size as say the MTX-7? Thanks
