Default RR Evo tire wear Q:

Don't mean to bring this up on the RRR thread, but I race my RR Evo last weekend and noticed the rear tires wore faster than the fronts. I've got the 25T side pulley on it. I'm just wondering if anyone remembers what side pulley slows down the front vs rear tire wear. Or should I just cut my fronts down 2mm smaller, like on the RRR?

You ever think about customiving starter boxes?
click on the link to ask that question or "pm" steve, here on rctech. He hangs out in the Xray FT 05', eXpress motosports and 2005 eXpress Paved On-road Championship threads.

I believe you're talking about the "Fast Gear" option, which includes the 24T pulley and 384 or 387 belt (not sure, which one? ).

On a 150 ft. straight, back the two speed screws out one full turn from the stock setting.

you found the link, just look back.

I think if you would look back a few pages, you should find info relating to that since that is what everyone wants to know about a updated kit.

Any suggestions for a pipe. I was thinking about a RD Logics pipe, or maybe a RB pipe to run on my MT-12 and soon to be, Sirio Evo 3.

Anyone tried the new RD pipe with the "waller" adapter included with it?

Try the Skyline pipe. That's what all the fast guys are running.

Some of their drive train parts are also weak and heavy. 3-racing Ti parts are also crap. Although, for some reason the Kawahara plastic parts on my FW/ZT1 have become brittle. I had someone CNC new parts for me. But the best thing to do is keep with Kyosho parts as much as possibe. I would concider Skyline hop-ups. Stay away from alum. pulleys. They wear 10x faster than the stock ones and end up chewing up belts.

My best source for Kawahara parts are through RC Champs. If they don't have them in stock, they'll get them for you. No one from Kawahara ever replies back to me, I guess none of them speak much english.
Kyosho seen to be making a lot of the hop-up/lightweight parts for the RRR now, so I`d be going with their parts before I`d get the 3-Racing ones.
East are also making Ti parts (shafts etc) but i havent tried them as yet so cant comment on their quality.
One East racing part i have tried is the rear carbon shock mount.....its okay but one thing I`m not overly keen on is how the upper shock mount holes all join in together.....this makes it very hard (especially if your wear glasses) to see which hole youve mounted the shock into.
This mount also has a little more bracing in the middle section to strengthen it.
Other than this its much the same quality as the 3-Racing & stock Kyosho rear mounts.
One part I`m very impressed with the quality of, is the Kyosho Team Shimo engine mount.....it offers much better bracing (its about twice the thickness) than the 3-Racing engine mount....and seems to have a much better tolerance on the threads for the underside screws than the 3-racing mount.

Cheers

hi

Just got my rrr dialed in this weekend, after a long time managed to get it just right for our track handlingwise, had changed the rear oil to 3000 and put in some soft spring at the rear.

Unfortunately, some one hit my rrr on the exhaust and totally damanged my brand new rd logics turbo 2. Is there any way i could repair it ?? the stinger is crushed and squashed the whole front.

Had to put in the 7.2 mm skyline pipe in coz thats what i had as a spare, which i think only has top end. and my track is tight so you guys can imagine.......what would be the best pipe ? for My sirio 12 tup

Appreciate if someone can let me know how to setup my clutch as it is engaging really slow. is this standard with the RRR or i just need to change to the red shoe ?

the setting was done by a freind of mine who did it as per manual.

The Skyline pipe should be fine. Is the engine reving way up before the car moves or is the car just sluggish once the clutch engages (car begins to move)?
