well I am now going to get a 710 every body here have serpents also is what my LHS supports the most I bought the r40 because in LHS sell HPIs but they dont order any part from them unless you ask them so when I breake something they never have it and with the serpents they always have spare parts. I think Ill just let the r40 for practice. Anyone nows where I can get it cheaper.
BTW thanks pacman25 I think you lead me to the light

Rodrigo I drove my s710 today and I was very happy with the way it went, I set it up as per the manual then just dialed in some negative camber on the right side to compensate for tyre wear. I ran softer front tyres than normal with very little wear.
I will run the car tomorrow and will try some changes to roll centers to see what happens.

It depends if you need to be legal or not.

I know the guys going to Winternats (ammdrew and fmolzer) are going to be running 3 port NovaMax engines. I'm not sure of the pipe though but I thought fmolzer mentioned it as being the new Novamega TP06.

As for me, I'm currently running mine with a 5 port Novamega MS engine and an outlaw 7 mm Shark inline pipe. Look at the pics of the car I posted. I notice that I needed to run it richer on the HSN. The engine revs crazy and the low end torque is good with the long manifold.

How do you propose to do cold weather testing? In the house on the carpet?

Anyway, the car really behaves like an electric car. The left to right transition is excellent and the weight is very light !

I guess you'll get into the groove in no time switching from electric to gas come March !

BTW, do all the kits come with the same tires, and, if so ,what tires are included? I know D mentioned that the std. setup called for 40/40, but there was a concern on what was actually included in the kit.
Yeah, that question is still not answered yet. The parts numbers suggest that the rear tires are 35 shore and 40 shore fronts. My own "feeling" also suggest that the rear is 35 shore because of the soft compound. Anybody got a durometer to test it?

Congrats to the G4 drivers. What is the layout of the track? What position did the 710 get? Is the 710 driven by your top drivers?

With barely 2 to 3 weeks of getting the car, I would not think you would be an instant world champ driving it ! At the end of the day, it's the driver that makes the difference.

Right on man, could not agree anymore with you. Maybe this guy was thinking of the 705.

Talking

Just finished cleaning my 710 after a day at the track, what a joy to work on compared to the 705. The Serpent Boys should be very proud of them selves.

Josh Cyrul (Great Driver) came to OZ with his G4 and didn't make the final of Nitro touring. What does that mean, same as your comment absolutely nothing.
Have a nice day!!!!

Well, I'm not sure if you'll see a report. It was a small race and I think the idea was to test the car in an indoor track. Considering that the track surface was cement painted over with some sort of grey primer, the car was amazingly planted on foams!

TQ was an MTX3 with a lola but it was only 1 sec faster than the 710 with a saloon. And that is not 1 sec over one lap but 1 sec over a 5 minute heat! The 710 started 2nd on the grid but within 2 laps was leading the race all the way home.

Cool ! You got to rub shoulders with Mark Green?

Do you happen to know if he used the stock settings?

Aha! You've got a point there D. Was there 'anyone' driving the 710s when the G4s blew them away?
