If you lube a 2 speed bearing within the 2 speed hub, best to fire up the car, spin up the hub, pull it down and clean up any residue.

We live and learn.

I mean the bearings located in the rear bulkheads, where two speed shaft sit...... or where the rear brake pulley sit..... the main shaft.

( Not the bearings inside two speed spur gear housing )

I had a problem a few weeks ago. Car drove like a 2 wheel drive. Would spin out at every corner, come to find out that the front diff was blown. Rotate one wheel at a time to see if the whole drivetrain moves, also the diff should be smooth.

So how was it when you found that out? I'm just wondering how blown it was. Mine was, as you saw, one wheel was pretty much stuck due to melted bearing.

I had a cracked composite gear inside the diff. I noticed it because when I would turn the front left wheel, it's the only one that would turn, when all 4 should. No melting bulkheads or anything like that, we have aluminum bulkheads in the mtx5

Just wanted to say how kick a** this car is! First weekend out with the car and placed third in the nitro expert A main. Car felt pretty darn good and now just need to work on getting a little more rip out of the corner and a tab more off power high speed steering out of the car on corner entry. I definitely look forward to running this car again in the near future and way to go Xray with a solid Nitro!

I'm just curious, what's the difference between using rear universals or dogbones?
IMO the car feels better with CVD's but on the same track with both, the faster laps were with dogbones

Car should be more free with the dogbones and have better overall rotation.
