Dear NT1 Experts
I am new to nitro on road, and would like to get a NT1 to start. I understand that the kit still has a handful of plastic parts, and I am afraid my inexperienced driving would make it a fragile entry for me. Hence, I would appreciate some advice on the necessary upgrades to improve the NT1's durability please. Thanks |

Thanks Hi The NT1 is a very tough car. being an easy car to drive from kit setup you will be able to drive it at any track without changing too much setup. If you are inexperienced i would spend the money on tires and practice instead of upgrades. |
I agree as the car is very strong. But invest in suspension parts such as front knuckles, lower arm, rear arms etc. as you get to familiar with the car after several banging around the track then think of upgrade.

Sorry I forgot to mension as the first upgrade to perform is install the hard bumper as it provides more protective. 😁

Don't worry about upgrades, the car is great out of the box. Someone mentioned arms, knuckles, tires, bulkheads, bodies, etc. Spend your money there and invest in your local track and put in as many laps as you can. I've worn out plenty of motors just driving around the track when no one is running. I've been called the "Practice King", but I can drive pretty good now so I'll wear that title proudly. If you can't afford it, pick up a cheap motor from Max(RR3), RB(T? Junior) or anything else and drive until it dies. Get use to the car and different track layouts. I would say don't focus too much on winning if you're new, spend this time learning. A good way to learn is attending the big races where you're almost certain you'll be last. (I'm not kidding) You'll get the experts there that will help you out, especially from RCAmerica or some of the team drivers. If you have any questions you don't want to post, feel free to PM me. |

I took a close look at Dirk's springs and they looked like what he said, but I did not touch or test them. Sam |

Why would a new chassis be on the way because of this? Looks like the WCE with a few new parts.

Serpent did this last year when they released the Team Edition 733 and then the 747 was released.
Xray will have to release an updated platform sometime in the future. Their option parts are quite expensive, $60USD for alloy sway bar holder... WTF! Andrew |
