And less chassis roll at the sametime. Remember a roll change effects anything and everything at the same time. Sway bars dont work untill the chassis rolls, and begining to have load placed on them.

I looked at your setup and was wanting to know a couple things. I notice that you are running 37 rears.....did you try running 40 or 42 rears? Next time, try running a 40 or 42 on the RIGHT REAR, this would give you better wear running the harder tire and keep the balance closer. Cutting stager into the tires is also something you might want to try. Running 37s in the front and 40 on left rear and 42 on right rear would be the way that I would go. It would give you just a tad bit more steering, but would also keep the tires from wearing so fast.
but in now middle of winter and the track was very cold with no traction ,and out side temp of 15 deg c it was a toss up which tyres to run for the finial, i new my tyre wear would be a factor.i did run 40s in the final and ran out of tyres in 27 minutes .. the mugen guys that pull the same lap times as me dont wear as much tyre i didnt try to change to much in the states as my car was on rails the best its been:D |

grub, I'd definitely try rcfoolz suggestion on the staggered harder rear tires. I would also recommend raising the rear pin position up one notch to the middle-bottom position and adding at least 2mm shims underneath the rear outer camber links. This will spread the wear out between both rear tires a little more, and also increase rear side-bite for more stability.

I sent you setup information to your PM.....

gidday teamgp the rear lower pin you talk of its the one the lower arms pivot off?also i run 2mm on the camber links so do i take it to 4mm
On your sheet, you have listed 0mm for the shims underneath the camber links. ;) I would just raise the rear roll center position one and try that first. If the rear seems a little loose, then add shims to the outer camber link position 0.5mm at a time. Let us know if this doesn't work as there are other things you can do as well. |
you have a pm rcroolz

Has anyone tried the lowest position on the rear roll center piston insert?
I understand the lower CG the better, so if this is the case, would it be best to have set the lowest position as default and change rear link holes and shim for the upright as a secondary change? |

Yep. Its listed as the 'rear roll center' on the setup sheet.
