Do you think increasing the upper link shims will increase stability ? or the car become too stable / too quite ( aka less responsive ) ?

Anyone are using taller upper link position ?

Just ran my car for the first time this past weekend,on a big track..:nod:Used bakers setup at 301....Car ran and handled perfect...Cant wait to race it again...This car is even good, with box setup...

Same here...... my first race with NT1 will be in two weeks. We are going to have DTM race on August 4th & 5th. Open for 1/10 and 1/8 cars.

I have prepare everything : tires, spare parts, bodies, etc.

I haven't test the car yet.......... maybe 1 week before the race day.

this past weekend i was able to put my nt1 into the a-main at the mugen cup at speedworld , unfortunately at the very start i had a huge crash that sent the car cartwheeling down the straight and bent my chassis really bad . the car would barely turn right and would snap turn left . almost undriveable :(

i continued for the first 35 minutes this way , then i felt i was just getting in the way of the battle between jimmy de prez and mike swauger so i made the choice to exit the race early.

the car was hooked up before my crash and i really like how easy a solid set up is to find with this car .

and btw omg swauger is $*&^*^%ing fast as well as brian thomas and jimmy de prez . it was an honor to be on the drivers stand with those guys .

my only moan is that i was the only xray in the entire field with not one factory xray driver .

all of the other brands had factory drivers at this race even cen put a car in the field with a sponsored driver .

xray when are we gonna get some representation in northern california ?

Most RCA/Xray drivers were at ROAR electric on-road nationals in Seattle over the weekend...

(Oh, and Mr. Baker won another title in mod)

Interesting. Are there any stores that support the NT1 in Northern California?

Way to go Alan. It was finally nice to meet you. I think most of the XRAY drivers were at Seattle, Washington for the electric nationals at SiR. I know Barry was there and afew others.

Barry Baker 07-18-2007 06:07 PM

Alan...I am sorry I wasnt able to be there as I was in Seattle for the Electric Nats.....on any other weekend I would have been there!

I will be at the regionals at CP in 10 days or so....If you are there please come see me if you have any questions.....

Take care,

Barry Baker

All of the hudy tools are on backorder for an unknown period of time. I posted something about it on the teamxray forum a couple of days ago and didn't even get a response.

the adjustment nut can be moved with the serpent or kyosho tools, the pinions are rather difficult but you can use the kyosho pinion tool here and a 2mm wrench through the single hole without doing too much damage to the flywheel but i wouldn't recommend doing it more than a few times
