Mo"s Set up

Mo does your set include the new LRC block. The reason I asked is bc Im still having a loose rear problem. I follow Tekno driver was at the track with me this weekend and he helped point me in the right direction to tighten up the rear end. He told me That should be running 2 dots out on the D block and i dot down in the C block. The reason was bc the new LRC block lowered the roll center. Does this sound right? I did it and the car got better but its still loose and i cannot push it hard at all. I took this car down and looked over every thing that could possible be the problem. I let some of the pro guys drive it at the track and they wasn't too thrill about it as I am. They said it too loose. So far in this car competion that Im conducting, Hot bodies is still the Champ. The Hb has its short coming but it makes up with being so easy to drive.

The one thing I see in your setup that I didnt do was build my shocks with rebound. I'll try that tonight.

I would have gone to the Nats so maybe you could look over my car in your down time but I have a football game that I have to attend, but a lot of my friends will be there.

Yes, Mo's setup does have the LRC rear/rear block, which makes quite a difference in rear traction.

You guys have to remember, that Mo most likely drives very different than you so its not like his setup will be one size fits all. Mo is on the throttle all the time and his setup is definitely not loose in the rear, in fact sometimes I wish I could get it to rotate more so I changed it a little bit but it sounds as though you don't have something setup right or your driving style is different and you need a different setup.

Whens the last time you checked your diffs? Do you have the updated shims? Are you running 5-5-4? His setup sheets says LRC on it so are you sure you have the right setup? Just throwing ideas out there. If you can post your exact setup then we can help you from there but if you dont have the LRC brace on then thats probably the biggest factor or your diff shims are locking up your diff.

Has the fuel tank issue been cleared up on this buggy. Was thinking of getting back into nitro. I have an SCT410 and and EB48.2, might as well make go Tekno too for nitro.

They released an updated tank. I ordered the NB48 about 3 months ago and it came with the updated tank but still had the first gen diff shims. Mine were in pretty good shape when I switched over to the updated shims but 2 of them were starting to bend. It really is a fantastic kit and Tekno has been very responsive to the few issues that have popped up.

Oh, the BittyDesign Force body for the XB9 does not fit. The fuel lines on the outside of the tank, the battery cover, and the throttle linkage all interfere with the body. It is about 1/2" too low for all of these things. Sure wish it did, I really like the shape of the body. I'll continue to pester BD to make one for this buggy but it will take a few more peeps to gain traction.

yes I have it listed in the note section to use the LRC block. It really makes a pretty big difference with locking in the rear end.

If you drive like I do the set up should be a great starting point. If you drive easier than I do then it should be perfect. Lol

Yes I have the updated shims. I see where Mo's set up is for high bit. Maybe thats the difference. My track is med to loose. I dont know, just throwing other things out there. I really want this set up and car to work bc I really like.

No one still haven't said anything about the C and D block inserts. When using the LRC block do I go 1 dot down on the C and 2 dots out on the D to get the rear toe and anti squat back to what it should be. The reason im asking is bc 2 dots out means Im running 4 degrees rear toe. When I made the change it did help the rear end some. I was thinking of going to max toe. Does that seem right to do?

What do you mean by "to get the rear toe and anti squat back to what it should be"? Sorry I think I may be confused but if you are running the LRC brace then just use the same pills as on Mos setup and thats where it "should" be if I understand you correctly? I thought you were asking what pills to use to match Mo's set up if you didn't have an LRC brace.

Anyway, my track is med to loose and Mo's set up was great but I did change the following to help me:
Stood rear shock towers up to the hole 3 (one in from the outside on the tower)
I lowered the rear inner camber link to hole 3(down one from Mo's) and I put the ackerman to the middle hole and decreased front droop a little bit.

Does anyone know if there a body skins for nb48 body or for the FTW? I was looking on upgrade-rc, but it seems only for the EB48 at this time.
