Ran Mo's setup for the first time yesterday, and it's quite fantastic. Very nimble, corners well, etc. I need to dial in some more off power steering, but overall worth a look if you're wanting to try something new or not loving the setup you have now.
I have found that the car is very sensitive to ride height and droop, might be able to do some fine tuning with that. for more off power you can increase a little rear droop to dump some more weight on the nose. this will have little effect on the rest of the car. |

Attended a race this past weekend in Mayfield, Kentucky. It was their annual "Race for a Cure", of which all proceeds go to cancer research.
Used: Tekno NB48 (first time driving a Tekno) Lutz WE engine Lutz 2107 pipe Buku composite shoe clutch Setup the buggy as per Mo's sheet with a few minor front end adjustments (the track was super slippery) Initial impressions: Drive train is super smooth. Rivals my MP9. Acceleration is incredible. Will turn inside a Mugen MBX7 Jumps and lands well. No Kyosho double bounce. Extremely durable. Many people were breaking A arms landing after the large triple jump. Used a Go Pro camera for attached You Tube video. My internet connection is very bad, thus can not tell how the video turned out. Any body had any success with a good head mounted video camera, please let me know.

One thing Mo's setup does not lack is steering. If you need more the setup isnt quite what he has or the tires arent the best choice for that track. Off power steering with that setup is insane. On power is equally insane.

Point is, looks really good, just need a little more tweaking/setup/tires for me. |
The Ions seem to be a bit more streamline for helmet/head mounting than the GoPros but I've never used one so I cant comment on performance. Tough to beat the GoPro though; they have a simple head strap.

I wanted to order some aluminum shims for the rear hubs and found these but was curious if somebody had found some 2mm wide orange shims?
|
Also, what size is the setscrew for the aluminum steering horn. Forgot to tighten it up and lost it :(

Are you sure that the tank posts are sitting in the cutouts on the chassis? Are you sure you are not using truggy posts?

Nitroal. That looks a lot easier than having the big Go Pro camera on my head. Do you have any videos on You Tube so I can see the quality.

Another one scary pic. Top lid of new tank after 5min run:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...923_124847.jpg Thread on lid was stripped wit pressure nose causing leak and tuning issues of course. I had left tank lid from prev 'revised' tank before throwing it away, so no problems here. Spent some time and made two normal tanks from all parts i have  |
