what shock oil and springs you running in front? sounds like your ride heigh is screwing up steering. what springs in front? tires?

this may sound crazy, but, northern michigan dirt, if moist run cityblocks in front and i beams in rear, if dry run the i beam in front and cityblocks in rear, less push for corners, really works well!!

Tires. tried soft med calibers soft med aka ibeams cityblocks. grid irons jconcepts. best so far is soft calibers with aka foams and wheels. 7-7-2 diff's 35 f 30 r shock oils stock pistons and springs,v2 tower with stock settings worse with #4 hole on tower. 48tooth spur 13 pinion. plus 4 engine. The biggest change i made was titanium screw kit, turn buckles, camberlinks, shock mounts and king pins for weight savings. lightweight outdrives all the way around. I know the titanium parts dropped alot of weight, mainly the screw kit. maybe not enough weight?? Dont think so but maybe.also the long akerman plate ,short one is worse yet.

that, sounds pretty similar to pa dirt at my track and i run soft city blocks all around in the dry and dusty i am thinking about using the ibeam tires on the front to gain steering and get rid of the little push . but when it rains for a few days and its stays cool out it gets moisten.

do you ever notice that city blocks lock in on the track unlike ibeams which help with freeing the truck up.

That's kinda backwards thinking. I-beams have MUCH less side bite than City's, so they will actually reduce steering and cause even more push. I-beams are a forward bite tire and City's are a good all around compromise of forward and side bite.;)

7-7-2 worked better than the 7-10-2.Maybe i will check the chassis and make sure its not twisted. Dont know it sure isnt right.

not trying to be rude but why are you always trying to compare your 8t setup to a 8t 2.0,they are different trucks, they handle way differently

um im not ? i know theres a tread for the eight 1.0 but nobody ever answer on it intill 3 to 4 days

inferno13 09-22-2010 06:09 PM

in diffs i run 5/10/3, really good on soft/med/loomy track, if track wet, cityblocks in front, I-beams in rear, if dry, visa versa. shock oil is ......front 40wt....rear 35wt, black springs in front, (arms level) purple in rear arms level.

thats because every serious racer went to the 8t 2.0,but yes you do, you compare fluids and handling all the time to other people when u have a different truck
