Whats the big diff with the v2 tower?? When i run the outer shock holes. the truck seems really loose.

How tight should the set screws be on the sway bar bracket? Should the sway bar move freely?
|
Yes they need to move.
I see you are a 2x JS man now to...havent run in my new one yet and took out the one from truggy to run in my new EU and man its ballistic..so much top end with loads of bottom end..really happy with it with the 086 pipe to..actually wouldnt mind a little less bottom end just quietly:cool: |
Whats the difference between the green buggy and black truggy outdrives? Are the black outdrives just made out of a harder metal? My truggy needs new rear out-drives and I have a crap load of buggy outdrives.

most of the gain you get from the v2 tower is the camber holes!...the 4th hole on the shock mounting position is not that big of deal!...but the ability to run shorter camber links is where everyone is getting the better handling;)
The 4th hole is really what makes the truck handle better. The added bonus of the camber links is to gain more off-power steering when it is needed. |

Wrong... The 4th hole is really what makes the truck handle better. The added bonus of the camber links is to gain more off-power steering when it is needed. |

So what you're saying is those little changes don't make a difference? The camber links hole are only about 1mm apart, yet it makes the truck handle completely different. Same thing applies to the shocks. |

the only differnce i can tell is on hard clay track, same as tft chassis, cant really tell a differnce on a loose loomy track, but, thats just my opinion.
shoot i can tell a big diffrence in the tft chassis on my eight-t dry and somewhat loamy condiction but than again it might of been the diffrent shock springs i used or something. |
wow get over it!...im not trying to start a FORUM arguement!...seems like thats all you guys want is to start an arguement on whos truck does what with there best setup!...yeah OBVIOUSLY it makes a difference or else LOSI would have not made new tower!...BUT im just saying the BIG thing that every1 likes about the v2 tower is the shorter camber links!...and it all depends on where you are running @...the 4th hole on the shock mounting position CAN be the worst setup ever if you are not running on a track that will like this setup!....this is just MY OPINION!...cause again...he asked for everyones opinion, not just what YOU think is the best!....thats what this forum is for! Everything makes a difference! IMO the shock position change is a big one. The truck is a lot better in the bumps and jumps better as well. I have been running a short camber link setup for a long time. As in much longer than the V2 tower has been around. I also agree that the shorter camber link makes a big difference. Much more off power steering, but less rear traction.;)

inferno 13 you have a pm my me.
|
no need to argue, plus when guys post what they should change before they even have there new toy, really doesent make sence to me, run it and see what you likes and dislikes are and then ask questions, everybody driving style is differnt, your best setup may not work for someone else. just like drake set up, he posts his set up, SO WHAT. thats his set up that worked for him, he is not saying to copy it and it will work for you. my advice would be to take it out of the box, geter goin and see what you like about it and dont like. then ask how to fix your dislikes! again, just my OPINION!

The short camber link set-up was available even with the stock tower. I ran mine that way for a while. I absolutely love that set-up. Now with the new tower, the truck handles even better.
