8T 2.0
Was just on the Losi web site and under what's new is a bunch of 8T 2.0 parts. There was shock towers, chassis, wheels, and body just to name a few. Could not find any other info on the 8T 2.0 anywhere else.
|
The parts say "coming late January" so I guess we will see the 8T kit (probably race roller) at the same time. I guess I'll wait till then to buy my new truggy so I can see what they do with the 8T.
|
0 offset wheels....I guess we can expect the vehicle to be a little wider. I'm sure it will have the hinge pin and shock tower update as well.
|
i think a few of the new truggies will be coming out late jan
|
anyone look at the chassis info... it says its 14mm longer? Misprint?? thats a long chassis.
|
I have been looking foreward to an 8t 2.0 since the buggy was released however I am upset about the use of 0 offset wheels. I have many sets of tires already mounted to 1/2 offset wheels and would hate to have to buy all new tires because of an offset change. Just hoping losi isn't stupid enough to make everyone do that. Show some interest in making your customers happy. Anyone know why they would make this change? Sorry I guess i'm just a lil' upset about this.

Just use buggy hubs and you wont have to buy anything new. I switch between 0 offset and halfoffset all the time.
|
I have the 2.0 buggy and if the Truggy is like the buggy oh god watch out, Losi will be winning a lot with it
I don't mind if they change the offset though, cause I don't have that many Truggy tires but I'm hoping the 8T 2.0 is out before Valentines Day |

Those rims are just the GRP standard offset rims.
There is no way they would piss off the 1000's of there users that already have 1/2 offsets The only difference in the arms should be the 3.5mm hole for the larger hinge pin in the rear and the smaller holes in the front to stop the screws backing out so easy like the 8 2.0 The steering turnbuckle looks to be longet so it could be a longer arm But the chassis is 14mm longer so i would guess that the car will be wider to combat the length Im not a fan of the new body. It looks like a SUV  but i guess it has the same low design like the new buggy to keep engine temps down |
I think you are right.
It will use new longer A-arms and zero offset wheels, like the old Hot Bodies LSP. And 14mm longer is a huge amount!!! The body does have the same line as rcbodies.net ones. Mark did this on his bodies 3-5 years ago but he retired. Maybe thats the reason Losi can use the lines without copyrights. |
Just noticed losi took the 8T parts off of the website. Was it a slip up that they were on there or an intentional hint of what's to come?

hah.....losi know's we lurk their site.....so im sure those parts were posted to start the buzz.....but any losi guy knew this was commin anyways....at least i did. |
Man, I'm not quite sold on that new body just yet. I really dig the 1.0 shell for this truck. Wonder if the 1.0 body would fit a longer T chassis?
|
If it really is 14mm longer the old body would not fit stock for sure...
