IMO this is a good balance for this car. It has soooo much turn in you can use 7 in the front and it seems to tame down the aggressive nature of the steering on turn in. Give it a try? Also try moving the rear shocks in to the inner hole on the rear A arms. I use 0 castor with the 9 pill and 11 kick up. If you need more turn in, move the upper A arm (forward) useing shims 1 mm at a time to create less castor. Last thing, I always run 29mm ride hight front and rear. Good luck, I hope this helps you. This is my results after running over 30 gallons in the last 10 months, indoors and out.

Hey scott the car was dialed with your suggestions it was more semi loamy last night the track had great traction...it really tamed the rear down tons!! not sure if it made it sluggish on the top end coulda been my tune...anyways i wanna see how it does on the blue groove now then i can really tell how much difference it made...the great thing is i could come out of a corner and just full woood and not spin out!!!!.....thanks alot for your help!!

Lets not assume anymore gentlemen cause last time K assumed they would win the worlds it resulted in an over ambitious presumption.....

Hence... TKI followed suit by the SE.... no pun intended.....

All those in favour for the TKI to be reinstated back on the production line say ' I '

Hey Guys,

I have almost two gallons through my TKI. what parts are you guys replacing (wear parts) where things are loosening up some. My front end has some slop in it at the hubs. Only replaced the rear bulkhead with the C version and only because of a crash that stripped the screw out of the back of the suspension bushing holder that is screwed into the bulkhead on the rear (the 4 x 25 flathead. Only other problem was out of the box during breakin the hubs stripped on the car, Kyosho took care of that though. The gear mesh looks good with the factory shims in gear boxes and has been working well. Replaced clutch bearings tonight.

And for my Rosi motor +4, very happy, still the original glow plug.

Any suggestions on wear parts and when to replace.

Thanks

I just replaced my front upper arms they had some slop in them. Although I think that was mainly from some unbalanced tires I was useing for practice.

Did you try the 7,6,5 on the diffs.??? If you like 6 in the center, I just tried 7 and LOVED!!!!! it. It launches off the corner like no other !!!!!! The last track i ran was a blue groove in 106 deg. temp and the car was DIALED.

Nobody around here will even try those diff fluids. I guess thats not all bad, it just gives me the extra edge

Running 7/5/3 in mine. May try the 7/6/3, but our track right now is tight, so it may upset the balance.

You gotta try 5 in the rear, or at least try 4 then 5 you will love how it plants the rear
Let me know how it works for you if you do.
Ran a RC PRO SERIES event with these fluids and it was very tight!!! Worked great!!

Thanks
Scott

Should I buy a new SE and new engine or a used TKI with used engine?

I just got myself the SE - finally.

As far as I can see the differences are steel tiedrods (not nitrate coated), standard outdrives (not lightened) and maybe the shock cases inside (no teflon coat?). Not sure about the last one.

I can easily recommend a new SE instead a used TKI. Build yourself and you'll have fun building it and learning while building.
