You could do it in a less offensive/antagonistic way.

That either they don't have a clue and say that because technically, the MP9 has been on sale, in one version or another, longer than any other car on the market at the moment.

Or, they could mean that it's old tech, in that the Kyosho car takes it's roots WAY back to the 1980's and as illustrated recently on Cody King's website, there are some similarities between Kanai's 93 car and Cody's current 2012 MP9.

Perhaps you should ask them what they meant. Either way, there basically isn't any newer car on the market than the MP9, with all the running updates constantly being made and also the TKI3 which just came to the market. Yeah, definitely ask them what they mean, but rest assured, you won't find a better car today than the MP9.

Same experience when I want to switch to Kyosho, except that they didn't tell me it's an old technology but they told me that Kyosho parts is expensive and not worth it, after all they are all the same kind of plastic most probably produced by the same company in China, that all car are the same, it's the driver that make the different, that Kyosho is only famous because they are big company and can afford to sponsor many drivers, that's why they can win the world. The best part of all my LHS told me that Kyosho no longer made in Japan but in China so no point paying premium. I later realised why the LHS said that, it is because they are not the main distributor of Kyosho but another Taiwan brand.

I guess an old technology that still work is a working technology and I learn not to care so much about what other people say bro. and I have no regrets getting Kyosho.

The only down fall of owning a KYOSHO is you have to explain to everyone at the track that you can afford a $900 car and don't get mad because they can't...

Keep rolling KYOSHO Nation.....
