Kyosho "E" bodies are now available from Kyosho USA, I believe that is where my buddy bought his from. Im painting it in the next couple of days, I will post a pic of it mounted. Does anyone have a good starting setup a MP9 with e-conversion?
Thanks,
Aaron

you run higher voltage on a lower kv motor to get the same torque and speed, running a lower kv motor and higher voltage is just more efficient and puts less strain on the battery most people gear a buggy/truggy to run about 35-40mph depending on the track all the different kv motors will run the same speed it just depends on if you want to run 4s,5s,6s its all personal preference

I think its less turns more Kv? Good information about the voltage though...I'll take that into consideration when I order my motor.

Just did some quick research. Put a buddies JC RC8e body over a JC MP9 body and they line up mint!

Default mp9E bodyshell

Hiya folks,

does the Mp9E bodyshell come with pre-cut holes (the 2 holes on the side pods and holes behind the canopy)

I'm wondering if I can use the MP9E bodyshell on a regular MP9? I wouldn't mind a bit more cooling air over the pipe as I live in sunny, hot Singapore.

andy the way 1/8 scale motors are figured is
2200kv x14.8volts=32560rpm's
1700kv x 14.8volts=25160rpm's
the lower kv motor is less rpm's on the same voltage thats why the lower kv motor you run the more voltage you use to get the same speed/rpm's

No, it's not pre-cut.

You can use it with the regular MP9 if you adjust the airfilter holder and fix it so it can't bend down. David is making one body now and i think i have done a good solution with the air filter holder.
I will put up some pictures when we have tested it.

Hiya Piro,

Thanks for the info, I really do appreciate your sharing David's setups.

I wish you and David all the best this year, especially at the Ifmar Worlds!

Shalom and God Bless!

Hello Mr. King, any word on the MP10 ready in time for the worlds?

Did Cody do some more driving with the MP9e? There isn't much info to find on the Orion Vortex setup, can you share some?

Last question, can you explain me a little bit on the Peak racing thing? Is this brand alive again because Orion is now distributed by Horizon and Kyosho wanted to have their 'own' line on lipo's and stuff? Peak isn't really active in Europe, hence my questions. thanks for your time!

Im not on the team, However they have been using the same truggy for a while now and it's still competitive. I see no problems with my MP9 and doubt there will be a new one.
