I run the stock brakes and I have never had a fade issue even through a 45 min main. I really prefer the feel of the steel disk and the fiber pad, over the fiber disk and metal pad.

So totally newbie question here... I'm getting ready to order my MBX-6 but I was wondering if there is much difference between the MBX-6 and the M-spec? I see that on most sites I can get the M-spec for just a tad more (about 5-20$) but that gives me a set for wheels and tires and a body. Does the "standard" MBX-6 come with some better parts than the M-spec that closes the gap between the two kits or is this just a no brainer?

Also, at the risk of opening up a can of worms, please recommend a good engine and pipe.

Thanks,

Shane

P.S. I'm sure this is in this thread somewhere, but who has time to read over 9K posts??? And yes I tried a search and still got tons or posts... This thread is just too big...

I know that... But is that the only differance? If so, it seems like the M-Spec (that comes with wheels, tires, and a body) is a better deal. I have always bought the pro kits because I like to build my cars, but in this case maybe I'll have to go pre-built...

What about the engiene and pipe?

Thanks

We are a Mugen specialty shop in Georgia, check us out www.racemugen.com
The Kit has 1 step stiffer springs, other than that they are the same (and include the same) but the M-Spec is pre-assembled as a race roller.
How much do you have to spend on an engine/pipe combo?

Where are you located? I bought my MTX3 from a "Mugen" shop in Georgia... Well it was more like the basement of a house, but I'll call it a shop because they had a ton of stuff...

I've seen that engines start at around $200 and go up and pipes are about $65 and up... I don't mind spending more but if I spend say $400 as opposed to $265, am I really going to see that much difference? I guess I would say I want to spend whatever is going to give me the best bang for the buck...

Does that help?
