I don't remember the length but if you can afford it buy the factory team blue titanium turnbuckles for the front and rear and it will be a little lighter. They are the ones you need. I got mine of ebay for about 20 $ for front and rear.

OK guys time to get back to racing. Ive taken the winter off but its spring and time to get back out there. Im getting ready to freshen up for my first race of this season next weekend. I purchased a set of competition pistons (blue) and am going to install them this week. The paper work that came with them suggests 40-50wt oil but doesnt mention truggy or buggy and/or temperature. Im thinking 40wt front and rear in the truggy to start since its going to be rather cool this weekend.

Thanks Buchanan and Aron
@Aron: i thought about buying a Lunsford set but in the set I just get the long ones for the standard steering and have to order the shorter front ones too. I measured it and it looks like they must be 13 mm shorter each side. Looks like I will try to shorten the longer rods.

Emulsion shocks
Has anybody ever tried using emulsion style shocks on their Rc8T?
I'd like to get some feedback before I cut a few blatters up.
The stock steering rods are 92mm and the titanium ones are 80mm...

I broke a front shock ball end, looked up the part number, and bought new ones, but the holes appear to be FAR too big. Am I missing something?
This is my shock end, the threaded part just slides right into the new ball ends, not even close to threading on.
Then the parts bag I bought, withe the new ball end on the left, my old one on the right.
They look exactly the same, but the ID of the threaded part on mine is much smaller.
EDIT: I determined that it uses the RC8 ball ends? wtf? so what shocks do I have? they are big bores for sure.
I got the truck used so im not sure which model it is? it has CF shock towers...

Depending on how old the truck is it could have the earlier small shock shaft and shock end. The new ones were HD shock ends and HD shock shaft. AE changed the size of the shock shaft thread and shock end.

K, thanks for the info.
For sale: 4 hd shock ends lol.
I could return em on ebay, but I hate to do that on such a small part, that I opened, that was my mistake.
