You know, I was thinking the same thing. If you look on Amain, GMK (the makers of the CVD condoms) also makes dust caps. They're the same thing! Other than the fact that the condoms have a hole for the driveshaft of course...

alot of the things that gmk sells is just re packaged items. The carb-o's are just hair ruberbands. The diff dunker is a cooking item from walmart. the wheel putty is tire plugs. i can probley keep going on but i forgot the rest of their products

Default Wonder

I wonder what would affect the perform on the 8ight buggy if i change the center diff main drive gear? what would happen if i go down to 47 tooth and run 15 tooth? and 46 tooth on 16 tooth.. does it even make any difference?

less out of the hole with the higher pinions, and more top end/ less top end with the smaller spur gear and quicker out of the hole.

when mine was nitro i liked the 13/48 worked on pretty much everything. now with it being electric i run a 12/46 on a 2k kv motor and its pretty good everywhere xcept the strait where i neeed a bit more power.

I thought about getting those, but don't think I need them. I just check my CVD's after every session/race and use red thread loc on them.

I kind of wish losi had done what Xray is using now. The CV joint is all captured by the pinion bearing. Just like on the outer front CV shafts on several vehicles. No set screws to worry bout falling out. But, then you'd have the extra wear an tear on the pinion gear. So ehh...whatever.

I still use the heatshrink.

The peg on my idle stop screw broke on my 427 engine. Anyone know of a replacement?

i have the aluminum knuckles installed on my buggy and thier pretty awesome aside from the fact that the screw that holds the carriers at the pivoting point of it makes a little notch in the knuckle. and the place that holds the setscrew for the spindle king pins you cant pull out the threads thats a plus

Someone had mentioned before that adding the 50t spur you the losi did not need any gear mesh adjustment and that the spur did not stick out the bottom of the chassis. However, i got 2 of them in today and the tip of the teeth (about 1mm) stick out the bottom of the chassis and i did have to move the gear mesh. I will be making a spacer to go under the center diff mounts so the center spurr is not sticking out the bottom of the chassis.
