I really wanted a tekno but they cost a fortune in uk. £415 for the chassis plus proline wheels and body shell which are £120+ or more.
So i tried the formulae instead buggy long truggy wide and imo chose the teknos dad. The Hb D8 line. Ive used a Hb tessman D8T15 with D812 chassis and Ve8 rear shaft. i think its going to be just as good as the tekno and for the price of the tekno as a roller. I got two tessman D8Ts and elecs. One truggy for spares. its been 3yrs since i built myself an rc so went pretty ott (as usual) but im really happy so far its coming on nicly. I think it will be a little shorter and wider than the tekno. http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/...psjo462z96.jpg http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/...pss7idfmix.jpg |

So back in the day! There were a few of us doing these conversions before the Outcast and the MT410. The O.G was built by @chainsaw10 where he used a D8T and a Vorza. Then it spread like wild fire. I choice to do it with an RC8.2E and an RC8T. If I remember correctly I believe I was the first to do it on the AE platform. Nonetheless look up some videos of the Vorza on YT for tips and tricks. Unfortunately all the content we had on URC is no longer available.

I’ve been running large motors in these for years, they handle the power easily. |
I just completed my MT410 about a week ago. The 1980 Chevy proline body was already taking a beating. When I went to go pick up drywall and e6000 glue at home depot they had this stuff called Flex Seal Tape. Very very sticky and pretty thick about .8mm. Anyhow, I decided to try this out on my body. I forgot to weigh it before but now the body weighs 12 ounces and I'm wondering if maybe the flex tape is a little too heavy. It definitely holds up the truck body though through some major crashes. What do you guys think?

I am thinkng about building one of these. Looks like it was released about two years ago. Will it be replaced soon or going to be discontinued? How does the Arrma BLX185 ESC/2050kv set up fair in this? Thinking about using Proline 3.8 Badlands for this, pinion needed? |
