Ok guys I have now put this truck through the Savage Sam ringer and the truck has passed with flying colours, I built the truck with the set up right out of the box and changed nothing what so ever, the kit went together perfect for me with each step fitting correctly.
I ran with the 100k/100k/50k diff oils, 700wt/700wt shock oils, Tekin RX8 speed controller set to max on every setting, current, punch, timing I maxed them all, 17t pinion with SMC 1900kv motor, SMC 4s 5200 lipo and Ko Propo servo, this truck took everything I threw at it for 30 packs over 10 days. I did manage to break both of the battery straps doing the kind of driving that should come with a " do not try this at home " sticker, the battery just slid back and forth and created a wear rub that caused the breakage, I did not run the long strap from end to end, that would have maybe stopped this happening, I also broke the front bumper after a great deal of trying silly stuff, still amazed at how well it held up, finally the grub screw came loose on the pinion which moved and cause the spur gear to strip on half of the thickness as shown on the below video. I love the truck and think it is the most amazing and bullet proof monster truck on the market, now lets hope there is a nitro MT410 monster truck kit or conversion kit in the pipe works, go on tekno do it......
Huge thanks go out to the guys at Coast 2 Coast Rc and Tekno Rc for supplying the kit and running gear for me to test it to the limits, this truck gets a big Savage Sam tick of approval.......Teknotastic Awesome review and boy that took a beating ! The one thing I'd like to see and Tekno if your reading along I'm sure others would agree is a more specific front and rear bumper !! These are high end kits and have a price tag to match so please guys get those heads together and get creative if you can :) oh and one last thing please think about incorporating a wheelie bar ! 🙏 Thanks |

Reminiscent of a EREVO wheelbase. |
My Kit is on the way.
I was going to use this with it. http://www.airtronics.net/index.php/...fh2-radio.html Is this a pretty good Radio receiver combo for the money or is there something better out there for around the same price? I would like to be able to use a lipo battery with the radio. |

Cool, One more dumb question. Does super lube work good on the out drives and in the gear box for the ring gear etc. Can you use it instead of the Team Associates Black Grease?

It seems the SCT body mounts used on the MT410 are just spaced too wide apart. If you pay attention to it, you'll notice in a lot of pics guys are posting of their MT410s, the mounts are on the far edge of the bodies... These post seem to be intended for wide SCT bodies and not optimal for slimmer bodies. I have to see how I hobby this one up... I pretty much know nothing about bodies/body mounting, so any suggestions/help on this topic greatly is appreciated.[/LIST]

Flysky GT3B with the lipo mod or you can go GT3C with no mods. I personally run the GT3B with a 1600mah 3S Zippy lipo in it. I don't have to charge my TX battery but every month at worst. Good bang for the buck and RX's are like 7 bucks each.

I think the manual says that the receiver is rated for 5-6.5 VDC? |
I'm super interested in a Tekno MT but I would rather have a longer chassis. What I was wondering is if I could purchase a used ET48 or does it have to be a ET48.3? There's plenty of ET48's used that I could do a conversion on but I haven't seen any used 48.3's.

Decided to install a DIY tower to tower bar. I had done this to my RC8.2-MT. Figured it would help chassis flex. I'm not sure how much flex the Tekno's are known to have but guess it wouldn't hurt.
Here's my RC8.2-MT. Which inspired me to do it on the MT410. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...pspht0nk6m.jpg Parts I acquired athe my local hobby shop. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...psq7wp6sjd.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1gn6ppxd.jpg Installed. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...psrqjcvjie.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...psy49t3wqu.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/...pswnxg30wt.jpg |
Question... If I want to upgrade (right out of the box) to a metal spur for this kit, is this the correct one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDJAL&P=7
Also, I'm going to be running a Tekin T8 2000kv motor. 15t pinion? Or 16t? Thanks! |

RCWERKZ,
Stiff, lightweight, and cheap. I like your chassis brace idea. Any noticeable difference in suspension and steering response? |
