Which would you guys suggest for someone new to the hobby, the Kraton or a Thunder Tiger MT4 G3 (such a blah name, I can never remember it!) Most important to me at this point are durability and easiness to work on. I bash only, no racing.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, I'm hesitant to start new threads.

I keep hearing the MT4 G3 ia discontinued so I will go with the Kraton if this is true.

It hasn't been discontinued, it's just no longer carried by Tower Hobbies. Some other NA distributor has picked Thunder Tiger up, forget the name.

Are parts available online for the Kraton, or is it too new? The two LHS by me don't carry it or support it, unfortunately, although they can special order it.

I received this today from one of their distributors:

"The MT4-G3 is a discontinued model so that one you most likely will not see until Thunder Tiger makes a new model."

was running it on grass and if anything, there was a just a low speed roll that i did.

poor design or poor quality.

All you do is complain about your truck, but when people ask for details or specifics you don't answer.... Starting to think you just have a hate on for Arrma....

Any of you guys using a different radio than the one that came with it? I just set up a skyfly GT3C and had to adjust the turnbuckles to get the steering centered again, there wasn't enough trim adjustment.

I'm uploading a video to show the full steering trim range... wondering if this is normal for the Kraton or if my radio just doesn't allow for much adjustment.

Edit: I dont remember how much adjustment the rtr radio had. Yes I can reinstall it but I'm being lazy and asking you guys

Try to remove the servo horn, then center the servo again. Attach the horn and go from there. Hope it helps.

I did all that. Thinking this radio just has a really small range of trim.

Edit: guess the video didnt upload properly

If your not getting your full range of travel then you need to check your end points.

I get full range of travel when steering. The trim range was too limited, i wasn't able to center the wheel without adjusting the turnbuckles (since the link on the servo arm isn't adjustable).

Edit: and it's not a big issue, it drive straight now with the trim set at 0. I just found it odd when i changed radios but it's probably normal, this is only my 2nd RC.

Does anyone know the size for the shock spring cup/perch?

I broke a shock end a while ago and the spring perch disappeared at the same time. Backorder on those items are taking too long so I was going to look for replacements, but no calipers unfortunately (and my Glamis Uno perches are way too small).
