I've run about 3 packs of 3s through my Kraton now.

I'm using the stock esc settings out of the box.

Lipo switch off works - it shuts off when the batteries are down to about 16%. Whenever I put a fresh battery on, the truck won't power up.

Is this a fault, or some sort of heat cut off function? The truck will eventually power up.

I've run mine on 3s just briefly after I got it as my new batteries weren't charged up yet.

Briefly is one thing... running lower voltage than the electronics require for long periods probably isnt helping. ..

That maybe so. I had it in my mind that it ran 2s to 6s. I have some 4s and 5s LiPos on their way fron China. I think I'll leave the rig on the shelf till the new batteries arrive.

In the meantime, this morning's video of my Kraton running 3s:

Ok so I just tracked my Kraton roller and it will be here Saturday. Pretty excited. I also have a new receiver a mamba monster 2 and castle 2200kv motor coming the same day. There are a couple things I am hoping you guys can help me with since I don't have the truck to get the info.
1. What is the overall height and width of the stock tires? I want to get a new set of tires and wheels but wan to keep it somewhat close to stock siZe.
2. What is the offset on the stock wheels?
3. What is the eye to eye length of the front and rear shocks? And what is the shock diameter (specify if u are givin me inside or outside diameter of body) I want to look into mugen or losi Truggy shocks but need the stock lengths.
4. If I keep the stock shocks I want to get new shock rods. Does anyone know if there is a better shaft I can put in the stock shock? I have heard the stockers bend easily.
5. Spur gear is 50T but what is the other measurements? I think it may be the pitch but on my emaxx gears have a size called out as a .8. Since I am running a mm2 and 2200kv I need to determine what pinion gear to get. I want to gear it more for speed than torque. And from what I see the kraton only has a 12, 14 & 16T pinion so I am wondering if I can use an emaxx pinion with the Kraton stock spur/center diff.
Any help with these questions is greatly apreciated. Thanks guys

I do believe the manual states that because the ESC is wired for series by factory default. I can take my Castle Sidewinder 1/8 and use 2-6S on it with no issue, but of course Castle lets you solder your own connectors.

Dang, that's a great place for some scale baja/trophy truck action.

Just received my roller in the mail. This is a pretty cool truck/Truggy... But I am looking over everything and I am wondering if anyone has been inside the diffs... Are they actually 1/8 scale diff components? I haven't opened them up yet but from the looks of the housings and the drive cup sizes they kind of look like 1/10 scale to me. I'm holding some ofna hyper 7 diffs in my hand and it doesn't look like these would even fit inside these diff housings.

Has this been out long enough to get a good consensus on the durability of it? I've been looking at getting a new basher monster truck

I have another question hopefully I can actually get an answer from someone on this forum. There is a fastener that goes thru the red alum plate at the front of the truck into the servo saver. When I got my roller it was missing. Can someone pop theirs out and tell me if it is a special fastener or not. If it's not could you please tell me what the length is (from under the head to the end of the screw)? Thanks.

Truck seems pretty good. It has its problems just like the others. The wing mount breaks easily, the hub bearings are known to fail, the diffs don't handle 6s very well, and some of them have bad ESC's that fail. For the money, if you get a good ESC, the other stuff is minor. You can still run without a wing, waterproof electronics is pretty cool.
