Lexan windows are not allowed in box stock. It is fine to run the lexan window for this month but ultimately you need the stock window for box stock. I have an extra stock Audi window I can send you if you need it?

iDChuck, the way Jim wanted it done was to update your original post with your fastest time on top. That way the thread isn't filled with hard to search posts. That's what I plan on doing unless Poor Boy wants it otherwise since he is running it now.

Got the stock LM 3500 car working well on this layout. Here is what will probably be my stock run this month. Shaved a little over a second off of the winning 2023 time at 227.69 Total run time and a best lap of 2.72

Hopefully the video will help you with finding a fast line around the track. Turning my cars down until I could chose the line and repeat it lap after lap was probably the most helpful thing when I first started. If your track is brand new it will need a good amount of laps and some cleaning (damp wash cloth) before it starts making really good traction. If you need help with setup or anything else reach out (here or PM) |
Was bored last night, so I mounted up a Golem Bee Lexan body on my MR04 Open chassis. I still need a to trim a bit, then paint. It's different to drive with the body being soo light, but the car FLIES! It's not too bad on the walls, but a hit at high speed will have the car flipped around the wrong way! The Bee isn't a very race designed body, so I'm curious to see how a racing Lexan body will handle!

iDChuck, there are a few VERY FAST guys here! I have been trying to get somewhere close to PoorBoy and Traveler2 for the last few years, and while I can now get within a few tenths of a second for their fast lap times, their consistency has their overall times SUPER LOW! PoorBoy is correct that it takes TONS of laps to get to speed! I try to run at least a set of batteries a day, which depending on what motor/chassis I'm running is 200-300 laps at the speed I usually run at now. Most days I run closer to 1,000 laps, and almost 3 years after starting Mini-Zs, I'm just now getting the feeling I can keep my car wherever I want on the track at speed. The last few months everything is just really clicking.
So just get a couple of sets of batteries and tires, and drive as much as possible. It can be very frustrating trying to get fast, but once it clicks, it's a BLAST!!! So HAVE FUN and holler with anything!!! Stay Warm Guys! |

laps laps and laps... I'm also just starting this format of time trial racing but i've raced for many years. Consistency is huge here as we are running super low times every mistake needs 3-5 really good laps to make up for in time and even then your average lap time will increase every time you make a mistake. My best run so far still has 7-10 bad laps as 75 laps is really a test of focus and consistency... |

Do we post/update all classes on the same post or do we make 1 post per class?
