In my rides softer springs are easier for me to control, although when i show people my setup they ALWAYS have something to say about it.. I feel that it is much easier and should be done by alot of people.

On the small parts and replacement parts,(springs, parts tree replacement parts, etc) the lhs seems to be very well priced compared to champ, especially if you factor in the shipping and handling.
But, when you get into the hop up area, there is no comparison. Where $55+s/h will get you the carbon chassis here, that same amount will get you all the carbon pieces at champ. $50+s/h will get you the Tamiya motor mount here, but that same amount will get you the motor mount and a full set of alloy A blocks for the suspension.
So if your getting small stuff, go with the lhs. It'll be cheaper and inspire your lhs to keep stocking parts for the car. But on the bigger stuff,(anything above...say $20) definitely go with rc champ. You'll get it cheaper, and faster than a lhs can special order it.
Whatever you do, do whats best for you. Don't let anybody guilt you into over spending with that "support your lhs" stuff. If you save money on the big stuff, it'll leave more money in your pocket to spend on stuff from the lhs like bodies, tires, paint, repair/replacement parts, etc...
Then you get your big stuff AND some small stuff to go with it, and the lhs will still get their support. So every body is happy.

Has anyone here heard of a new variant called the TA05R package?
Any idea what parts it may come with?
Regards to all .

proceed5,
From the pictures, it looks like the TA-05R will be just like your TA-05 except yours has more carbon fibre bits and more blue parts.
