Tamiya TA05 Touring Sedan

Tamiya published a few pictures from the Japanese mags on the Tamiya Japan page today that's supposed to show the next TRF belt car.

Can someone please scan the pages from RC World and RC Magazine so we get some bigger pics of the new TRF chassis?

Thats a TRF 416??????????

Or an EVO???

Pyramid 04-05-2005 08:39 AM

It doesn't look like TRF line at all

pheyhoe 04-05-2005 08:40 AM

I Agree, looks like a fairly low end touring car....

But then again.... who knows!

diesel 04-05-2005 08:46 AM

Looks more like a TA05 in the make. :D

raving-monkey 04-05-2005 08:47 AM

yeah, appears it has a tub chassis...plastic shocks and stuff like that

it will be a mid range car i think, i don't think the 415 will be replaced anytime soon.

Did u ever see any TRF line using Tamiya connector with stick battery??? NEVER! It must be a mid-range TA/TB line car...:)

But I won't be surprise if there is TRF416 or EVO5 in the work. They always in developing cycle.

edit:
After some detail check, I think this is a 415-based, belt drive TA-line. Might be the rumor 415-based TA-05.

Windtalkers 04-05-2005 09:51 AM

it looks more like a TB02 but a belt version!!!

just my guess

RCGaryK 04-05-2005 09:58 AM

Son of a...I'll agree, looks like a 415 Tub car...guess Madjack was right.....

I think if you look closely you can see the front and rear black drive belts. It also looks like the gearboxes are a 2 piece design with an upper cover like an 04 has, so maintainence should be easier than on a 415. Man, I just hope most my my 415 stuff fits on this thing so I don't need to buy seperate aluminum bellcranks or motor mount

pheyhoe 04-05-2005 10:35 AM

They always use the stick pack and "Tamiya" connector advertising the EVOs.......

RCGaryK 04-05-2005 10:38 AM

But this is clearly a tub chassis as well.
