To improve durability :

-Steel drive shaft (44mm)
-Titanium turnbuckle

Part you should break :

-3x46mm suspension shaft
-H carrier

Part needed just in case :

-Belt
-Arm
-C part
-E part

Pretty all for the start

The use of a gear differential unit is becoming a major trend in the touring car class that use very high power brushless motor technology. The Tamiya Gear Differential Unit uses oils with different viscosity to attain adjustment, which results in optimum power transmission from the high-power brushless motors in the market today. It also improves traction and acceleration. TRF Driver Marc Rheinard uses these units in the front and rear of his TRF417 when racing on carpet to minimize diff rebuilds that are common when using a traditional ball diff unit. The unit is fully enclosed and the built-in gears are less likely to wear out compared with ball differentials.

Specs and Features
TRF417 Gear Differential Unit II x 1pc.
Aluminum Diff Cup Joint (exclusive to this item) x 2pcs.
Bevel Gear: 12T/20T (Item 42185 TRF417 Gear Differential Unit includes bevel gears with 10T/20T).
Compatible with TRF417, TA05 ver.II, and TA05-IFS R (with 37T pulley) chassis machines.
Silicone diff oils of 100000 weight are recommended as a starting point
is that a typo? or are they really recommending thicker oil for use in the new gear diff?

got it... physical size...

so then... what's everyone's fav spur gear maker? i looked at robinson's website and their 64p spur doesnt seem to have the same holes to get the center shaft and pulley holder through.

You always complain about every place you race at. You are a pretty clueless person. This should be fun watching you run onroad. Goodluck with that.

after all, isnt fdr from 113/62 is that same as 100/56 fdr (going for a 3.5)?

track will be a parking lot in a crappy mall. so it will be dirty. dont know if they will pre-sweep it.

I was using the Xenon gears without the blue spur spacer. It looks like the RW spurs are the ticket now though. Check them out at speedtechrc.com.

I did not know you were into electric! I just picked up my 417 and ran it for the first time this weekend ran great =D. Blew a spur though ... my pinions were the thin ones and it chewed up the stock spur.

I'll be bringing my 417 with me on the next trip to Kraceway!

Personally, still a spool in the front for me, with either 1k or 2k (depending on the track/motor) for the rear.
I do have a 500k front diff to try, but I'm saving that for super high traction.

Ed

Yes, it should fit. The bearing spacing hasn't changed between the cars, so an axle that fits the 7 will fit the 6.
