I've looked a little bit but haven't found anything. I should be getting my TC6 very shortly. I took a year off from carpet racing but I am now in need of a starting set up for 13.5 boosted, medium traction, bumpy carpet. Anyone have a sheet done up that may be close to this?

Possibly an idea about gearing as well. 64p is what I run. When I last ran all of this boost was just coming out.

What type of spur gears are you guys using with the long shaft motors(such as the Trinity Revtech and Murfdogg Synergy)?

With the standard 48p spur and typical Robinson Racing pinions, the pinion will not mesh correctly when it is oriented normally... reversing it causes the front belt to rub the pinion's "hub".

I am going to be running 64p, and have some Xray offset spurs on order(and some of the non offset as well)... I am hoping this will rectify the problem.

Or are the longshaft motors not compatible with the TC6?

I just took a Dremel and extended the flat spot on my motor. No problems!

Does this help? You need to to go over the battery. You may want to trim the fuzzy side of the Velcro where it passes through the battery tape slot on the end that loops back onto its self, or the battery will be a little snug.
I tried the strap and found that the battery moves towards the belt as it pivots against the battery stop, maybe adding another stop in the set of holes next to it might help.
I went back to tape.

I also had a velcro strap and went back to tape. Either you tighten it enough to hold the battery and it tweaks your chassis, OR you keep it loose enough to not tweak but the battery slides around........

Is this safe to do without causing an imbalance in the rotor/shaft?

Is this a common modification for the longshaft motors?

If anything it'll theoretically be faster because you have the weight of the pinion closer to the center of the motor. I have no issues whatsoever. The set screw may be tricky to get to with the pinion that close, however.

Push a plasic bag over the rotor shaft to keep any shavings from getting in the motor.

Not if you put two pieces of poster putty on the bottom of the battery between the bat and chassis plate. Run the strap just tight enough to hold, but not tight enough to tweak, and the battery won't move one bit, but still be able to be removed for charging between runs.

I use regular tape and re-use it for about 5-6 runs. Zero issues with tape.

Zero issues until it decides to let go of your battery in the middle of the main !!! I don't trust them at all; loose top carbon strap holding down a battery that can't move side to side and back and forth is the best solution to me so far ! I went from last in a main to a third place finish because most of the other racers had their batteries fall out, after changing their tape for the main ...Wow....what a waste.....Www
