Duh, just read the post above. Any more advice? What compound tires, etc...
|
Depends on bite. A good baseline is orange/purple fronts with purple rears. Many I know run orange/double pink fronts with double pink rears. I tried the orange/purple fronts with double pink rears and I really liked that a lot. My current favorite is Trinity cyan fronts and magenta rears.
I posted some keys to my carpet setup earlier as you found and the car was on rails. I will try to get my current setup sheet in electronic form soon so I can mail it. Probably after the vacation break. |

Hey guys a quick question to ask you. Can you fit a diff in a evo 4 or can you not? thanks!

Originally posted by Hebiki Randy, cant you help there bro. i only have one evoIV (for now... :sneaky: ) and its set up primarily for stock. MAYBE for 19T. when/if i pick up another evoIV, you can drive it. ;) |
Thought I would clarify my above post..
The gearboxes front and read on the EvoIV are identical.. Therefore a rear diff will fit in a front gearbox and vice versa... :D |
I just sold my TC4 and bought one of these cars. What parts will I need to build a front diff? any necessary hop-ups needed? What normally breaks on the car?:D Thanks
|
upgrade the drive cups to aluminum ones, first off. and if you're gonna do that, might as well move to the lightweigh pieces. i haven't broken anything "regularly" with the exception of the original drivecups. i always carry spare arms and now front hub carriers.
Oh yeah, buy some 950 bearings too welcome to the club!! vic |

What normally breaks on the car?:D Thanks It is a little pricey to build a diff, but you will need: diff halves diff rings (same as f201) diff balls thrust bearing diff spring long 2mm diff screws 2mm diff nuts parts tree with diff t-nut two bearings from inside of diff outdrive protector rings It sure would be nice if all manufacturers started packaging complete diff kits. I remeber having to do this for my nitro sedan and it cost me $70 to build a set of backup diffs with different oils in them!!! :( |
Thanks. Who makes a spool for the car? Where can I get it?
