You can make your own too with a couple of ball ends and a turnbuckle. It will end up being much stronger than the stock one.

how much droop does one use for the evo4?

it will depend on what motor your running the car with and what diff setup you have in the front, one way or spool?

Does anybody know if any of the Tamiya drivers were using the Evo in the RROC?

Csaari- The Invite team all ran the prototype car that may or may not make production. The Open drivers all used the 415 some in MS form and some in DJ form. As far as I know there was 1 E4 there and it was in 19T Spec.

Thanks, ive ordered some stuff from him, just have to wait for him to get back to me about shipping, i need it for a week saturday so should arrive in plenty of time, only thing he didnt have were the flange tubes, but ive got longer screws in the knuckles so they shouldnt come out. :)

Hi everyone, as you can probably tell I'm new to the forum but I am in need of some advice.. I've just bought a TB evo IV to race on carpet but I cannot get the gear ratio that I need to run a stock motor. With a 96 spur and a 20 pinion I've got 7.32 on my TRF414 on the same track I wasrunning around 9.
Basically I'm cooking motors and seriously lacking acceleration :( , can anyone give me any suggestions please

With a 96T spur, you get 8.81 FDR with a 25T pinion and 9.18 with a 24T pinion.

Got my stuff from Jasons store today, i paid extra for the EMS shipping but it was very well priced, and was well packaged. Will definatly buy from him again.

However, i cant get any of the screws out the bottom of my chassis :o And i have #1 wrench breaking arm on the go, i break the tips off before the screws come out, this is with hudy drivers too :eek: :cry: Ive sprayed it up with WD40 to hope it will soak in a little and help stuff work free..... Dont want to be dremeling them out though...

try heating up the screw head with your soldering iron for a few seconds and then try removing them. It has helped me in the past with some stuck srews.

Hey I was wondering if I could get some advise from you Tamiya guys ?
I'm running Tamiya shocks on my xxx-s, I'm using the gold ball studs that the shocks mount to, but the threads are a little short. a guy at my local track ''SRS'' gave me one that had long threads on it, but he didn't know the part #.

I went to the Tamiya web site and I could not find any thing. I tried a few local Hobby shops that sell Tamiya parts, no one seems to know what car uses that ball stud or that part #.

I see lundsford sells alot of different size ball studs but I don't know what size it is.

If any of you guys could help me with this I would really appreciate it.

Also I was wondering If any of You guys would know how many different size pistons, Tamiya makes for there shocks, and what would be the closest equivalent to losi pistons?

Do any other brand of pistons fit the Tamiya shocks?

I figured out that the Associated springs fit the Tamiya shocks.

Any and all help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.

There are black and white pistons for the Tamiya shocks but just use the white Teflon pistons as these are much better. They are so good so some people use them in other shocks too. With the white ones there are 2 and 3 hole pistons but usually everybody runs the 3 hole. Can´t say anything in compare to the Losi pistons as I don´t have them anymore.

Regarding the ball studs there are different colours most are aluminium anodized.
#50592 are the steel ones from the EVO3.
#53598 aluminium teflon coated grey
#53642 aluminium anodized blue
#53643 aluminium anodized red
The threads are all the same length with those ball studs.
Maybe you didn´t find anything as Tamiya don´t say ball studs but ball connector to these.

Regarding springs beside the Tamiya ones also the Associated and Xray springs will work.
