I want a set of clear cases... where can I get some??? hehe... My EvoIV is mainly for TCS racing too. So i try to get as much lightweight Tamiya parts as I can. Ti axles might be nice. As for input shafts, get the rear aluminum input shaft. And get the aluminum drive cup for it. Then for the front, you can either get the one piece drivecup input shaft deal. Or the front aluminum input shaft and an aluminum drive cup.

A set or two of tuned springs. A set of tuned sway bars. A 5.5 shim kit. Another diff for the front end. Some extra toe blocks are a must. I ran 1X/1B (415blocks) front and A/B rear for the TCS at the RCO.

Is the MS version coming with the extra suspension blocks and swaybars like the 415ms?

Nope
the MS comes with the following blocks
1XB
1D
1A
1A

and it comes with the same Med silver sway bars that came with the EVO4

Also one more funny thing is that they kit uses 3mm shims under the front and rear camber links too.??? with another 2mm shim on top of the rear hub..??:weird: kind of different fron the EVO4 Box set up...anyways it drives much better out of the box:D

Yeh, the rear hub thing is the same as what comes with the aluminium rear uprights I believe. The other stuff on the camber links is different from Kit setup though, interesting.

Gear cases

If anyone is looking for the clear/blue/smoke gear cases, I saw some on ebay last night. They are in Jasons store. Check them out. They were around $15 if I remember correctly.

SETUP QUESTIONS?

I have a couple of setup questions that someone might be able to help me with:

What does sweeping the front arm back do?

What does changing the width of the Front or Rear with 4mm vs. 5mm vs. 6mm Wheel hubs?

What does raising the support blocks do vs. stacking less spacers under upper inner link?

Hi guys
I looking to get a new car and I am trying to choose between the EVo IV MS and the Xray. I have a couple questions about the car. A couple guys at my local track have the EVO IV and have had problems with the bevel input gear for the oneway stripping. Is this normally just a case of inproper shimming? Would boiling the gears like the the Pro 4 help with this problem? They are stripping a gear every week or two and at $6 set it gets pretty expensive. One of the guys even swithced to a front diff because of the problem. They have also had a some tweak problems with the original car, do the new bulkheads cure this? I have read what you need to do to run foams, but the with the chassis only being 2.6mm is the car stiff enough to be competitive with the other cars out there?
Thanks
David
