The Orion motors are getting good reviews and the guys running them lately are on a tear. Only bad thing is it is a little harder to rebuild than most other motors.

In what aspects??? I'm curious!!

THey are a little more of pain to rebuild but then you don't have to rebuild them near as much as other motors. The ohter thing that I have read is that solding motor leads onto the motor can be difficult sometimes. That is the only two negatives things I have read.

Boca Bearings
I did a major overhaul on the indoor car the other day.
This is the one with a mixture of Yokomo and Boca Bearings ceramics. The Boca Bearings ceramics were the 950 upright bearings, eight of them. Three of them had virtually disintegrated, the balls becoming like lumps of gravel. Nasty noise and lots of friction. That wasn't a good deal for $56 for 8 bearings. They are now all out and have been replaced with the standard ones, which at least are cheap if they go cuboid!:flaming:  |
Hey David J. what about tell us anything more about your new rar suspension?? ;)

Hi Guys,
We should have some of the aluminum center post from Xenon in stock next week (it will be under the Speed Tech R/C lable) Also, on the DJ rear suspension kit, there's a chance that it might go into production. I've seen the kit in person on one of the Saturday practices at Tamiya, and it looks amazing! :D Steve Wang |
Just wondering is the suspension conversion for the 415 the same as on the IV, and can that be used for spares on the IV (basically do all the parts fit on the IV with no hassle) .

sure is... in fact, i took the kit off my 415, and use it for spares for the Evo. same stuff...

What is the DJ rear suspension?
