Heya Chris, I've only run the Evo4 a couple of weekends and raced it at the KO Race...and that was it. I really don't have a setup for it as I kinda just drove it. My brother has the car now and I will stick with the 415.

G I know there are a few of the other NorCal fast guys like Ling and EJ that will be running the Evo4 some this year too so the support side of things should be improving. Bottom line, don't sweat it, we've got you covered. FWIW, you don't have to wait until March. Get an Evo4 now and I can get you hooked up with my carpet setup and you can go race Stockton all Winter... you'll be dialed:) |
lol fraz...thx...that sounds great...I wish I could get one right this moment...but I'll have to wait a couple of months mainly due to my recent house improvement drains on my bank accnt....hehe...but hopefully I'll be able to get the car in time for next season...i'll need to shop for an esc too as well! I wonder if RCCAR will let us run that new LRP sphere setup...that would be cool!

tires
hey guys,
my friend gave me 28r sorex tires. im concerend because we usually use 40 r compounds. does anyone of you have anyexperience using this tire compound. track temps here are a bit high coz im in the philippines. i guess were as hot as australia and thailand. any info would be much help. |
I'd say that the 28s would be okay, but not the best. Seems as if the Sorex 32s and 36s have the widest temperature band. I think that if you wanted cooler tyres then Take off is the way to go.
From what I've heard, cooler conditions favour Take Off and hotter conditions Sorex. But like I said, thats just a general perspective. |
I've decided to sell the last two clear gear cover packages for my Tamiya. Last time I had them on eBay they was gone using the "buy now" in 10 minutes, so hurry up and visit the auction page - it's a 1 day action.
