Doesn't the MS come with 2 hole pistons like the 415? I don't know, just askin' because I thought I heard that somewhere(tm):)

Im buying a friends Evo IV off him, he has that and the 415ms and hes sticking with the 415 for racing modified, i just racing stock 99% of the time, so im going for the evo 4 with a ton of spares. Hes said that the front spool or one way has stripped a few times, im guessing its either because he has it shimmed slightly wrong or just because running modified is so hard on the car. Ill read back a few pages for that shimming guide.
Will tamiya do an upgrade kit to make the standard evo 4 into the MS?
The blue centre Y piece looks like a good improvement over the standard plastic horrible thing. Im guessing it reduces chassis flex?

They are selling the one piece bulkheads for about 45$ each and the center alloy brace is 20$ .....
so about 110$ for a MS upgrade.... any tamiya dealer should be able to order these spare parts:nod:

Ran the Evo IV MS for the first time today. All I can say is WOW!! Out of the box it was hooked up. It is so much faster through corners, and alot faster from left to right than my TC3 ever was. Now if I can just learn to drive to the ability that this car can perform I'll be all set!

no need to build a 'custom' ball diff for this car. Front diff is exactly same diff as rear. Just get part#s from manual, to build front diff. It's not like 415, where you have to rig one up.

Like it was stated, just build another diff like the rear. Do you run rubber or foam tires?

If you run foam, you honestly don't need two diffs. I race mod foam on carpet and it sucks with a front diff. The oneway is much better and carries a ton more corner speed. I even use a tiny bit of push brake and don't have troubles.
