Re: LRP QuantumC2

I run 5 trottle and break and 3 coast it works very good. It will differ from track to track. I run on a very tight short track 8 to 9 sec lap times. lol

CRC 3.2 ???

Should the motor bump up to the Football? It limits the gearing options.
Should I trim it.
Anyone?

You'll need to trim it. Not much though. what about running a smaller spur?

IRS front end

The IRS front end has been out a while. Wondering if anybody has any feedback?

What handling improvments have you noticed?
Is the roll center adjustment worth the trouble?
Do you run a more angled or more parallel setting?
Longer or shorter arms?

I assume that the roll center adjustment theory is the same for 1/12th as it is for TCs?

Thanks

hey nash, does trinity still distribute TRC tires?

Kraig 02-06-2004 11:10 AM

Trinity owns TRC.

Kimbrough makes them. You'll need to use a kimbrough spur to be able to use them. Tower always has some on stock. Look at www.towerhobbies.com, and search for kimbrough.

the diff covers work well with Pro10 hubs... due to the size of 12th scale hubs... there is still a gap for dirt and fur balls to get in...

If you are using a large diff ring conversion, they should work pretty well still...

IRS front end:

I have really only run in the upper holes yet. The inner upper can help smooth the car out and give more steering. The outer inner was sort of binding my car up in a chicane ( this was modified). There is usually a little less steering there. The car will roll quickly in that hole. I sort of wonder if my car was contacing the track, but I didn't think to check at the time.

A friend of mine said the lower holes should make the car a "steering machine". I haven't tried yet.:D
