Great pictures. Maybe this is a stupid question but what exactly is the advatage of this conversion?
I just see different battery location and multiple body mount holes. The rest apprears to be the same geometry and suspension as a stock chassis.

take care

WAY thicker graphite chassis than stock. That's all I could see.

3mm thick chassis, is it too thick and heavy? I think with good quality graphite ,2.5mm will do.

HARLEY 03-27-2004 08:32 PM

hello mate well the difference i see is the battery location and what i read from mr warpspeed post that the chassis is a 3mm chassis with a 2.5mm brace and it will make a big difference especially on carpet
IMP.......my 2 cents

looks real nice, mr warpspeed

again imo the trinity reflex 12 is a 3mm maybe mr warpspeed will do it in a 2.5 i own the reflex 12 and it is not heavy either

Taz_S 03-27-2004 08:36 PM

yes for the rug you need a thicker chassi to keep the flex down. Where in outdoors you want all the rear bit so you go with a thinner chassi.

HARLEY 03-27-2004 08:41 PM

i agree mate maybe mr warpspeed will make a chassis for outdoor

HARLEY 03-27-2004 08:42 PM

mr warpspeed are you going to be making a chassis for the trinity reflex 12

Adam Hartzell 03-28-2004 03:35 PM

The thickness is not as important as the quality of the carbon. My Quad 12 has a 2.5mm chassis and it has less flex than my buddies rug rat with a 3mm chassis. If the carbon has any filler in it, it will cause more flex. Just look at the switchblade and reflex chassis. The older chassis had no coloring or filler and is way stiffer than teh new one. However they are both on the heavy side. A chassis that is .110-.120 in thickness without any filer or coloring is more than stiff enough for carpet.

That chassis looks like it would have a ton of front/back flex to it where all the battery and t-bar cut outs are....anyone agree? It just doesn't look like there's enough carbon in that area....

I'm just getting into 1/12 scale racing and i'm looking at buying a CRC T-Force Pro kit. Does anybody have any opinions/comments about this car? I currently drive a Warpspeed Demon, but lately i've been getting burned out on touring car. I'm hoping that 1/12 scale will bring back the fun I had driving my old 10L.

Fuzzy-DONT BUY TIRES!!! I have enough tires to last you two years. YOu and Ray Longhitano both can run on all my club tires for a long time. That will make your transition to 12th scale even Cheaper!!!

Fuzzy,

Yup-I sorted ALL my Sedan and 12th scale tires last night and ended up with three boxes full of 12th scale tires!!

If you want-I can do final build on your 12th scale to make sure the front axle heights, caster, camber are right, arms are free, springs have no slop or preload and make sure T-plate pivot sockets are super free and last-make sure rear axle width is maximized and rear axle is centered. All critical measurements.

The T-Fource looks great. PUlfer made the A and Herrmann (the Dump Truck) was whicked fast and he said it was EASY to drive too.

Thanks for your help Ray. Hopefully Jimmy will get the car ordered soon. I'll let you know when it comes in.
