I have one of those little rockets, too. Waiting on a body to get started. Where are you guys racing? How many show up?

Did you take into account for the underdrive ratio in the gear train? I think it is the 2.26 system. How much timing is in your 19T motor? I have one by Kisbey and I gear it with a slightly higher roll out than stock in my pan car (2.26 inches).

You'll want to start somewhere in the 7.5:1 or range typically for a sedan with 19T. You should always gear for the track, but that should get you in the ballpark.

We're pretty much stuck using TQ Orange on one track and Jack the Gripper on the other. I used to race pro10 and 2wd F1 on carpet and 1/12 on asphalt, so I'm reasonably familiar with the tire compounds and when/where to use them. I just didn't want to spend the day cutting tires when there are many experienced folks out there to help! :D I like TQ8 and have a can, but the tracks here don't want me using it (I've asked.) Same with Paragon, but I understand the reasons why most tracks are not allowing it any more. The carpet here doesn't get as rubbered in as you guys that run all year long, so there's usually not so much pickup. I have used either motor spray or simple green in the past to clean my foams, then sauce according to grip levels. This was with 1/10 scale, so I'm assuming most of the same things apply with 1/12. I'll pick up a set of white rears and I have grey rears and purple fronts already, so I think I should be set compound wise. Does anyone make majenta rears? I used to run those on my F1 car sometimes if I felt like I needed to toss the car around more. I ordered my KO 947 servo today and the arbor set, so I should be ready to go racing this week!

Oh, here's another question. Are you guys running receiver packs with a decent servo? I used to run one on asphalt, but I wasn't using a good servo.

John, yeah. I got the car from Chris. What diameter are the tires cut to? You put a nice bevel on them for me, right? ;)

Looks to me like a copy of the Yokomo that Tosolini is running this weekend.
