nope, it was the CEFX body. I tried the Ascari this winter and it felt really fast but my lap times were slower than the speed 8 that I was running. Both the speed 8 and the CEFX body are good but I think the CEFX body has just a bit more steering

Hmm, I thought it was the Ascari, we actually switched to the Ascari on Jason's car, but he didn't like the way it felt either. I'm having 2 of them painted up, because I've heard some good things about it as well. Where can I buy the CEFX body?

www.speedworldraceway.com has the CEFX bodies in stock

Cool. So it handles like an Ascari, but with a hair more steering, correct?

Adam Hartzell 01-28-2004 08:53 PM

Actually, its like a speed 8 only with a little more steering and its much more balanced

Randy Caster 01-28-2004 08:59 PM

Not having run any of these makes it a little harder to know what does what. Is the Ascari a good starting point?

Adam Hartzell 01-28-2004 09:01 PM

The ascari felt real slow to me. it had way to much downforce.

Randy Caster 01-28-2004 09:02 PM

So what would be a good starting point?

Adam Hartzell 01-28-2004 09:03 PM

speed 8. if the car is real loose go to the ascari. if you want more steering go to the cefx

Randy Caster 01-28-2004 09:17 PM

Cool, thanks for the base setup. I usually go with a body with lots of rear grip, and then dial in as much steering as I can, so the Ascari might not be too bad...

davepull 01-28-2004 09:20 PM

keep in mind that the more you have to turn the front tires the more speed you scrub off in the corners

Randy Caster 01-28-2004 09:20 PM

Yep, I know that, but there are ways to dial in steering without going up on the dual rate.

davepull 01-28-2004 09:26 PM

true that. i personally like the parma body. like adam said the ascari seemed to planted. ran it twice and put my parma back on.
