Why not a front one way with foams on carpet?

Everyone here is running one ways with foams, and I am WAY faster with my one way than with dual diffs running stock...

Our carpet track is small...like 9.0 lap times with many 180 curves..

Enlighten me...would a spool be better? We do no braking...

just try more rear end toe in...or just make the back end a little bit softer.

More rear toe should help. You could also try moving the battery back, moving the rear camber link to the outermost hole on the hub, or leaning the rear shocks in.

farls3589:

Much-More Racing makes those trays. Do a search for Much-More Racing on RCTech.net -- there is already a thread and you can get a link to website as well.

a one-way on foams, "WTF"!!!!!i think i just had a heart attack... how are you able to drive the damn car. it must be super aggressive. i mean i never ever here anyone saying use a spool or a oneway on a foam car. but thats what ive heard, i mean i run a xray(dual belt car) and i use dual diffs i would never think of a spool or a oneway so to be honst i say put a spool in the car and find out and then enligten me on how it went because this is news to me lol......

Spool or oneway will sometimes work on low-bite carpet tracks, but as the bite comes up you will probably have trouble.

Hey PW, how have you been surviving the hurricane? You must have power since you were able to post, so thats good. Most of the other guys I've talked to down there are doing fine. Did you get my new e-mail? When you get a chance to answer it, please do so. I'm sure you've been busy with the storm and all. I want to get my foam mod car ordered . Thanks.

PW- racing was great yesterday. The Teemu chassis feels really good. With the receiver switched back to 27 I don't have any more glitching issue's. I put a oneway back in the car and ran Mo's oneway set up and the car was dialed on the tight track we were racing on. Schumacher Tq'ed two of the three sedan classes (I was second in stock) The gas car looked great. The tire of choice for most of the day was the Takeoff 27. Some ran Sorex 36 in the main. I had a freak body clip issue in the main but I can be happy with that over electronic issues. We will be back in Modesto next weekend for some night racing.

I TT PW today. He and his family are fine but have no power at the moment. Frances sat on top of his home in Lakeland for a few hours last night...

Everyone in Tampa is fine and we will back at Schu USA tomorrow...as long as the power is not out.

lazyboy... we ran a spool in our MI2 with foams yesterday at Trackside... qualified 3rd behind Jucha and Johnson. Spool can work ok, its kinda like running a one way, its faster on some parts of the track and slower in others. We also ran a oneway in foam many times with good success in our Mission, but only on low to medium traction tracks
