Yes they are that strict. TCS is a tight ship and if somone calls you on one of the rules, you can be DQ'd. They run a tight ship because if this guy or that guy can do it, then we can do it, and it gets out-of -control. I raced TCS since it started and if you were bending the rules or flat out cheating, you were DQ'd.

No biggie.. Not worried about it... I already have a spare chassis on hand, takes 15 minutes to switch everything out if need be. 99 percent of my racing is club racing so that is the chassis that I have shown.
Pingers - But yes there are 'those' guys that will go around and nitpick at every little thing.. Even though there is no advantage and it is all about the driving. Although there is lot of people intentionally lightening their chassis or change suspension geometry and Tamiya frowns on that one for sure. And only a TCS tech can tell you if it is a go or no go.

i actually took some material off the back of the TB-03 tub to make it easier to get the bigger pinions in there (for 17.5). but before i did this, i showed it to Fred to confirm it would be legal, he allowed it. maybe they'll allow the battery bumps to be removed if the battery doesnt fit properly?

hello guys,
I have raced a TA05 before, loved the car. Then moved on to other high end Touring cars.
I am thinking of racing with a TA05 IFS v2 now ...
can you guys point me out what the differences are between the regular IFS and the v2?
Also how the car will react differently, compared to the TA05 (in other words: what does the IFS-system improve on driving-characteristics)
and last... are there setup-sheets availabale somewhere on the net, preferable for indoor carpet-racing.

Further Evolved Race-Spec Chassis, TA05 ver.II
The chassis width has been reduced for greater ground clearance when the chassis rolls. Thanks to the position of the integrated motor mount, the position of the battery pack has been moved forward, resulting in optimum balance and enhanced handling. The drivetrain features front and rear 37T ball differentials and an 18T center pulley. The four wheel double wishbone suspension system features an inboard front suspension layout with short reversible suspension arms and uprights which have 1050 ball bearings. In addition, the separate suspension mounts help to achieve easier maintenance and setting changes.

Hello, is anybody using their V2 as a VTA car? If so, what kind of setup are you running as far as suspension goes? Right now I'm going to run the box setup to start with. the track is a little tight and technical. I'll be using the black can motor right now until I get my hands on a 21.5BL. I'm going to run the car for the first time this weekend. Thanks
