The shim has to be small enough as not to block ther piston holes correct? Would u say those motor shims might be about .5mm thick

Who u caling slacker slacker, I can top that. First I work the grave yard shift. Come home sleep for 3 hours then get up and take care of my son 4 years old. Then i take my two daughter 12 and 14 to their sports practices when they get home from school. I am the assistant coach for my oldest daughters traveling soft ball team. So on the weekends when I get off work at 6:00 am in the morning then I get back in the car by 6;40 and down the road at least two hour drive to the game. Usually get home by 8:00pm with out any sleep. Then do it all overt again on sunday.Oh did I mention that I also work an extra 36 hours a week on top of my normal 40. I try to make time to go racing but I'm not as fortunate as others who have time to "TEST" like u say. This was my first post on this site did'nt know I would offend anyone Just asking for a little help from a fellow photon owner

Max shim would be .3mm, I tried thicker and ended up having to grind down what I had laying around, would not fit until I hit .3mm, and that was a snug fit so I'm guessing you could go a shade thinner maybe.
And I missed my second chance to have some track time last night, track was a wash out with rain, which sucks cause my new tyres had just shown up, so I would have had some grip, and I think most things on the car have been sorted now.

I used .3mm as well. Kyosho has a shim kit that contains washers with the perfect ID and OD. It includes shims .1, .2, and .3mm thick. I'll find the part number to the kit. I have the receipt here somewhere.
