I shim the bottom one usually with a .2mm. Make sure not to shim them too much or else they will cause your steering to bind.

Your right, if you want to do your camber link plates then you'll need 16pcs.

I noticed these when I was checking out the Litemodz CVS for the Photon

I don't know if TOP sell the equivalent products. I couldn't find any 2.5x6 or full screw sets in the brief search I did, but they list many of the other screw sizes used in a Photon and many that aren't. http://www.topracingusa.com/titanium.htm

edit: I'm slow at composing messages sometimes..lol..so I guess the 2.6 ones fit a bit tighter , so less tweaking and have a thicker head to make it harder to strip? they would weigh a bit more though if they are still made of steel. are they?

I had them for my top deck and camber plates but switched to the new Top ones when they came out,as its a lot cheaper if you lose one. Yes they are lighter but my driving is more of an issue than saving a few grams.

The main reason I got them was to not have to use the tiny hex driver but in a way the smaller head does stop you from stripping the thread in the bulkheads as you cant do it up so tight.

To be honest I have triad a few non Top Racing things for the Photon but found that the kit stuff is so good there was no need for it.

ive just switched from over after many years with xray cars to a photon & i have to admit for me this car is better after only 1 race meet,very happy i made the switch

How much weight can be saved going to a Titainum screw kit? 10grams? more?

The difference between the old an new top deck screws is that the head sticks up and has a 2mm hex rather than the 1.5mm one on the old ones. Much easier to tighten. The material seems to be harder as well.

We do carry all of the titanium hardware at TOP USA, including the 4.3mm ball studs. There is no screw set made up for the Photon-yet. There is also a full line of stainless steel screws under the T.O.P. brand

Xray T3 drives amazing and very fast but I prefer the overall feel the Photon gives.

On first drive I was actually more impressed with the T3 but after some time with the cars, I prefer the Photon

IMO where I think it is really superior to the Xray is it responds to adjustment far, far better. To me Xray drives a certain way, which is very good, but hard to change
