I was talking to one of the sponsors of the Newy onroad club a few months ago as I'm in the process of joining, he mentioned the 201s race alongside the rwds with some different spec rules. Apparently they do OK.
Best to contact your local track and ask. As it might be circuit and country specific.
Which car have you got? I love the Williams F201!

I seem to remember a pic of an F104 with the battery fitted sideways. I cannot find it anymore. I would like to try it but I cann't figure out how. I am not bound by Tamiya parts. Please point me in the right direction!

Can anybody tell me who makes spur gears 48 pitch with 66 down to 60 teeth?
Only part I could find till now was associated/kimbrough 66t:
https://www.teamassociated.com/parts...r_66t_48pitch/
Actually I'm looking for 60t but anything smaller than 66t would be great!!!

For f1 I'm using the kawada tough spur... I believe they may go below 65t
Try rcmart

I think at 60tooth you will not be able to have enough material for the diff!
They can only get so small and have enough area for the bearing, diff balls, and accomodate the diff hubs.
Switch to 48p and you will easily find lower tooth counts, but your pinion choices will be limited then on the flip side.
- As for the above post, the Kawada Super Tough starts at 88T

I bought this one:
https://hobbyking.com/nl_nl/robinson...pitch-60t.html
I used a Kimbrough as a template and drilled 3mm holes for 16 balls.
Easy!

That's exactly what I was looking for! Great help!
Thanks also to all others for replying!
Smallest Kawada spur 48p I could find at rcmart was 65t.
I think I'll try to get some of the Demon spurs, so I won't have to drill

Yes, I used those, see post 12786. They do'nt fit direct as the holes are not lining up with the friction plates. They are only mounting holes. The ones they sell with (only a few) ball holes go down to 72 only, lower table on the linked page.

Is there any benefit having less or more differential balls in the spur since some allow more than others
Tech Regular
More balls runs smoother and requires less pressure to avoid slip. Kimbrough runs 16 balls.

My Kimbrough 48p 70T and 73T both have 16 balls. You can see one in the pic I posted about drilling the 60T gear.
