Here you go. We wrapped battery tape around both posts on both sides of the battery to hold it in. You can mount your ESC inbetween the motor and battery.

It was an amazing handling car and had very smooth/linear transition with the shocks.

Nice job. You can also get the matte black look like the real MCL32 by masking and painting the outside black area only with the Tamiya Flat Clear paint or paint the black on the outside. I also agree with Dan the Honda sticker will only slow you down. May also suddenly stop on track after just a few laps. Better to add a Mercedes sticker. Should make the car at least .2 - .3 seconds a lap faster !

Quick question guys (if you'll allow me), can i use/mount F103 rear foam wheels on the F104 without any modifications or changing of parts?

Thank you in advance.

hey F1 junkies, I have a couple questions about my f104 tamiya. I bought a used roller, some tires and wheels, and now Im wondering what 2s batteries you use and what I can get that is decent on a budget. the local track uses blinky esc, 25.5 motors. Its a carpet track. thx for your time and advice, for I am an on road noob

SMC batteries are the best bang for your dollar.

You will have to change axle height adjusters to compensate for the smaller sidewall of the foam tire for ride height as needed. You will also now have a 200mm wide rear with a 180mm wide front.

Scorpion 4200 shorty pack. Plenty of power even over 15 minute races and very competitive price.

While we are vaguely on the topic of batteries, how many of you use the ultra or super shorties? I'm very interested in them, but I'm curious to know if they are worth it (I've just bought a Serpent SF2 wide).

Currently using 4500 nvisions. Not sure if they're sold wherever you're from

If on budget you could try any of the hobby king.. Maybe even the old a spec shorties. Had great experience with those. Not sure if I read wrong but even the fantom batteries seemed cheap in USD... if you're from the US (i'm not)
