I measure at the end of the arms also when the car is on blocks.

My hard drive crashed so I'm still rebuilding everything. I'm hoping to have set up sheets by the end of the week or early next.

Marcos, are you using warmers on asphalt or just tire compound?

Socko

I havent used tire warmers in over a year, I clean the tires with WD-40 then I wait a few minutes then apply buggy grip , then let it dry. The tires have excellent grip from start to finish, when I use SXT or Tire Tweek the tires get better towards the end of the run, I had better results with the wd40/buggy grip combo.

Anybody looking for a really good alternative for a side belt try HPI part # A748, its the front belt for the HPI Pro3 and its a perfect fit, Its stonger than the stock belt and it also frees up the drivetrain alot more than the stock belt.

Had a awsome weekend with the E4, even if i only finished in the B-main :) dulified 7th in the B main finished 6th. Very close racing all of us were running the Xenon tires all weekend. 1 set for everyone for 4 heats and the main. 29 entries in all and very close racing.

The HPI belt held up very well all weekend, did not stretch at all still looks brand new. I even ran it with out the side belt tensioner.

Here is a little action pictures from the beginning of the B main :) ( mine is the bright yellow car :))

S'ok Marcos, we all have bad days. I'm sure you'll be up front again at the next one.

I have some of those HPI belts. I'll have to try one. Thanks for the tip.

I'm sure everyone has been wondering, "Why is it taking so long to get a couple of items done and up on the web site"? The reason will be clear tomorrow when we make a special announcement. Even though we don't post very often we do listen to everything. Even more importantly we have been working on a response that addresses a great number of issues posted on this thread.

I can tell you that the original parts we have been working on (the aluminum axles and drive hexes) have been put up on the web site. The photos are now also up. The prices have been set to a point that we allow as many E4 drivers as possible to pick these up for their cars.

But that is not the big news. All I can say is that we will be offering something that has been asked for many times.

Last month at the ROAR Carpet Nationals the competition was absolutely amazing. The number of big names in the B mains was really surprising. Which is why Dave Ehrlich coming in 5th in the Mod A main feature event was a great achievement. If you look at the names of the people that came in ahead of him you know that they all had big factory support. Dave was the only "privateer" in the group. He is one of the primary reasons why the E4 has become an A main contender. On top of that he is a really great person always helpful and willing to give a hand to all. We want to congratulate him and thank him for his accomplishments which leads us to...

One thing we hear often is that the E4RS and E4FS needs some additional parts to make it a top level competition machine. Happy customers are the primary goal of Wolf Hobbies so for the last 6 months we have been developing a full on competition level kit. We are also big on giving credit where credit is due so we are pleased to announce the Dave Ehrlich Special Edition E4. It comes in Rubber and Foam versions. Knowing that one size does not fit all we are offering them in three different levels. Items marked with a * are new products designed and produced by Wolf Hobbies and are available separately. The rubber kit will be up on the web site available for purchase tomorrow and will start shipping by Friday. The Foam version will ship next week.

E4RS Dave Ehrlich Limited Edition will come in three levels.

Level 1 (P/N 19101) Includes all the following features.

Extra narrow 2.5mm chassis with extra large motor cutout*
Special 2.0mm top deck designed for maximum LiPo pack clearance*
Steel battery tray*
Special side belt idler mount optimized for brushless motor clearance*
Steel front CVDs
Front spool
Aluminum Pulleys
Low drag narrow drive belts
Aluminum Servo Mounts.

Aluminum Caster blocks hard anodized for durability and consistency*

Combination 1 way / spool substituted for spool.

Level 3 (P/N 19103) Mod motor. Same as level 2 except:

Congratulations Guys: I am lucky enough to call Dave a close friend and also we are the official/unofficial Test Track and “skunk works” for Wolf Hobbies. I have watched Dave work harder than anyone I know testing and developing the Team Magic Car. He is quite a wheel for sure but it's been his hours up here at the track and hard work along with the mega support from Wolf that has really got them where they are at.

It's been fun to watch. Way to go guy’s

WEEZY 04-21-2009 10:20 PM

Way to go Dave!! congrats. Lets see what it does at reedy, was looking forward to going but didnt work out. Waiting on my parts from wolf, but might have to get a new kit. Cant wait till september tho,iic here we come.

Funny how when someone suggests what need be be.....
So I almost have that DE kit now, after all the work I've done to it.
Only need the alu. around the perimiter and my JS kit will be as nice as any.
But umm.... hey Wolf, Is the side belt thingy that 82221 part #?
And for what matters... these days its not so much the car as it is the driver... and set-up. I'd love to see the carpet/rubber setup if at all possible.
Congrats Dave !
