1 guy is running a HPI porsche body here and 2 guys are running the datsuns on their m05. I believe the porsche is a small chassis and the datsuns are the med.

On a side not......

These are the numbers i just pulled off one of my 3 race used silver cans.

I am running a HPI Datsun 510 body on my 03L (now it is an 03m).. it sits a little high in the front as it rests on the servo mount..... but it not terible looking, and there is one or 2 others running them on thier Mo5 also at the medium length....they fit very nice and I have not had any trouble with them breaking

So where are all the USA guys buying parts / hop-ups from? I'm looking to grab a couple of things for my new M04L, but hesitate to order from overseas. Just wondering if any knows of a good US store to get stuff from. Or even a good overseas store would be cool....

I'm specifically looking for the oil filled shocks and motor mount now.

Anyone tried the Honda S800 or Alfa Romeo MiTo or the new Datsun from Tamiya on the M03? Does it also sit too high?

I find it's difficult to find one place that has everything I need so I usually end up ordering from several different places. Tower has a few things. Speedtech RC does as well and as a last resort, I'll go to Tamiya USA. Last time I needed to place a big order, I went with RC-Mart in Hong Kong. If you order more than $150 worth of stuff, you get your shipping automatically upgraded to EMS. EMS took less time for me to get than my last order from Tamiya USA. RC-Mart has a great selection and their prices cannot be beat. I have never heard anyone complain about them. If you can wait a bit for your parts, up to a month, and you have a small order, you can order parts from them on e-bay for $4.00 flat rate shipping. Their e-bay name is dinball.

Being new to minis I have to ask, What are these "BLADES", where are they used and what advantages do they have?

On ebay, I deal with RCBoyz out of Utah or Marinrc in the SF Bay area. RCBoyz is the best, usually has a good stock and super fast shipping.

They are the roughly C shaped plastic bits that fit over the pins on the inner part of the drive axle. These ride in the slots of the outdrives. They are found on many touring cars and on some are metal, but these are too difficult to adapt to a Mini.

They produce a much smoother drive train and will prolong the life of your universals or cvds. I did this mod cause the out drives and the universals were constantly wearing out or breaking. Besides that they just look "trick"

I just ran across another site that will be my #1 Mini parts site from now on. MyAtomic.com out of Ft. Wayne, IN. The cheapest prices on various parts I've found and free 1st class hipping on all orders of $25 or more. Just placed my 2nd order in a week with them.

There's a couple, as mentioned, most touring cars use these now, back in the day we use to drive the pin out of the axle and use weedeater string, it worked just as well. ;)
