guys, kindly point me to pictures of minis preferably m05 with modifications done on them? I just got a new dremel with the right-angle attachment and I'm looking for some projects to try them out. I'm thinking CF rear half of the m05 if any exists.

If you are running the TCS, you can not modify the chassis.

rough512 06-01-2010 08:03 AM

I'm not running TCS, which is a shame since the regionals will be held for the first time here in the Phils. Anyway, I'm also using 3racing and yeah aluminum bits so I'm "free" modify the chassis.

too much aluminum????

Is there a such thing as adding too many aluminum parts to the Mini? I was looking at picking up f/r arms, hubs, knuckles, etc... No real reason other than it looks cool :sneaky:

Its pretty quick as is, so I don't want to weigh it all down and slow it down

So what (if any) are my limitation here????

gashuffer 06-01-2010 11:19 AM

Does anyone know the release date of the M-05Ra?

I have as much aluminum on my M03M chassis as there is and it does not make it heavier.

gruman28 06-01-2010 02:51 PM

Depending on who makes the part, aluminum sometimes bends where the plastic just flexes. Other than that, bling that sucker up!

SteveM 06-01-2010 03:17 PM

The local hobby shop had just brought in two of the HPI Datsun 510 bodies and both were sold right away. I've not heard that they have been discontinued either.

gashuffer 06-01-2010 05:23 PM

That 510 is a ABC Genetic body if you don't know that already.

Steve420 06-01-2010 08:04 PM

Do the 3racing "m03m" suspension parts (i.e. hubs, uprights, etc..) interchange with the m04l?

I'm only asking because it seems easier to find M03M parts....
