I agree the new drive shafts are nice, but there was no Tamiya Part Number anywhere on the display, could these be another kit only supplied part like the M06R wheel weights ?

Much more complete than any previous R kit. The axles are an interesting inclusion. Still sticking you on the steering upgrades, though.

What is the advantage of the RA uprights?

The M05Ra Uprights/C hubs have a wider track than the standard M05 set up, this can be used as a tuning option, mixing and matching will give you 3 possible track widths, although in this case I suspect it might just be to give extra space for the cardan joints to fit.

There's no mention on whether or not the dampers are the big bore variation.

They are the big bore ones. (The same as the TBevo6 Black edition)

They left the steering linkage (bell crank) plastic? The one part that actually broke on my M05?

"They left the steering linkage (bell crank) plastic? The one part that actually broke on my M05?"

That will be improved w the next kit. ;)

I doubt they'd spend the money developing this part without intent to sell some. They probably haven't gotten around to assigning th number or making it public just yet. The M06 wheel weights were simple enough to be knocked out of q CNC mill for cheap, without committing to the design.

I would use tire weights and hose clamp it for ghetto factor. :D Probably works the same... maybe better.

And the M06 wheel weights were for a product that has a fraction of sales that the M05 sees.. So they didn't bother selling it separately. The double cardans will sell like hot cakes..

I love those wheel weights on my M06, they make driving it a true joy.. It also baffles the M05 driver, when they find out it's an M06... Their response is usually.. That thing drives really well.

It's time for Tamiya to give us an M06 Ver II Pro double secret R Spec lol.

Maybe this will be the last great M05 kit before the new M07??? Pure speculation on my part.

I sure hope those DCJ's are durable.
