I got my M05 handling SOOOOO much better. Its almost 100%, I think im gonna go a little heavier on the shock oil, but no more traction rolling and im diving into the corners hard. The ball diff and long wheel base made a big difference. I did manage to break a part of the steering, but thankfully my lhs had the optional aluminum set, pricey, but I dont think I will ever brake that again.
No your right, it'll just bend.
Rounding tire edges
Hi,
I've read about using superglue on the Tamiya tire sidewalls to reduce grip roll, but did anyone ever try rounding the edge of the tire a bit?
I'd think this will not prevent the tire flexing but it might be more smooth?

This will not reduce the tire from heating up. Especially on carpet.
Superglue will reduce the rubbing and thus the overheating of the tires which causes grip roll.
Usually the grip roll will aggravate during the race because of the heat.

That's not how the CA glue trick works. It works by making the tire slide out ever so slightly as soon as the vehicle begins to bicycle. That's why you only need to do the front tires and it's also why you can see the effect as soon as you hit the track, whether the tires are cold or warm.
I have never used that trick. I just setup my cars properly. When applying traction compound, just do the inside front, full rear.

I tried rounding off the tires on brand new tires (Sgrip, Mgrip), regretted doing it. The tires lost grip. Maybe overheated when I was sanding them, hence destroying the tires in the process.
Try the M05, much less succeptible to grip roll.

i set my cars up propperly too
but i still need superglue , even with no smear they still grip roll due to the weight height of the M chassis !!!!
i even superglue my Xray T3s front tyres and my set up is perfect !!!

I do not have traction roll issues but the damn thing chatters so bad... I have done everything you all have said (other than the universal shafts which are on order) I do not understand as other guy's in my club have the exact same cars (m03L) no-one is having any kinda problems like mine..... we don't race now till the 27th... I guess I will have to tear it down and totaly rebuild it again.... I consistently place right behind the top driver in the club but gotta drive my butt off to do it... can't wait to get this thing so that I can start racin with him
True, setup makes a difference for traction roll. However depending on the track and the amount of grip sometimes tricks like superglue are needed.
Especially with tires that have such high sidewalls....
I'm ok with my car for the moment and like you said the amount of traction compund makes for huge differences. Just looking for other options.
Maybe just adding lead weight down low will do enough. I'm 150gms underweight for our rules at the moment
