Pack the gear diff. with anti wear grease, works great on tightning up the action.

M03 manual, parts list, exploded view you may download from tamiyausa.com look for SWIFT M03M,
its basically pretty same with older M03/M, just different arm, knuckle, hub,

hey i did this to my gear diff some time ago it got very stifff and smooth with the anti wear grease but when i run the car the diff got loose , it seems like the AWG spreaded around the gear box out of the gears, so i think you must full fill the diff case with AWG , the more the better .... am i right?

Yep, just pack it til it's full and you'll see a big difference and it's legal to

how many tubes of AWG would i need? so i just need to fill it up to the brim? Will other brands of diff grease work better? More importantly, its basically "Build & Forget", or has it got to be rebuilt regularly? I have got my M04M for awhile now.. but i have not started building it yet..

well i got a ta03 balldif now and it is great but not as stiff as when i put the AWG for first time, i think a full filled AWG gear diff is more stiff than the ta03 balldiff , dont you think so?

I've only used the Tamiya brand, Ofna has some to but I don't know how well it works. As far as build it and forget it, yea I would agree with that, but always do a tear down at the end of the season just to check on it. As far as the M04, I had heard that you leave it as loose as possible and just put a minor amount in the gear diff. Anyone else heard of what works with the M04?

Drkucho, I think the gear diff. with the awg is just as good as the balldiff. and less maintenance.

Hey Tony Gray, where is the Tamiya M01-M02 HPI Carbon Fiber conversion chassis at on your site? You can use it on fwd, rwd, or 4wd using 2 gearboxes and I figured you had one somewhere.

Biz,

had one years ago...but sold it off (stupidly....) And yes I acknowledge that was an insane act.
Have been looking to find another but they're rather thin on the ground. I found one on ebay about 18 months back but once the bidding hit $150 I lost interest!

K-Models/Kai used to, but that was about 2 years ago. Don't think they do now, and their website appears to be dead.
