JW- My steering rack rubs sometimes to. Just sand it slightly and also make sure to align the arm blocks since they were designed to move slightly. Usually just loosen the back one slightly and move it close to the front and tighten it back down. Then you shouldn't have any more rubbing.

you are right...
most of the new '05 option parts are available overseas.
I purchased my new upperdeck, shocks, and motormount from RainbowTen in Japan... RcModel may have some of them now too...

What exactly is the difference between the Hara/'05 deck and the standard deck. The Hara/'05 is 0.25mm thicker, right?

I believe the Hara deck also has holes drilled at the front and rear middle mounting points instead of actually mouting points. This helps prevent the car from holding a tweak as easily as the original version. It also includes the o-ring fix which help the tweak thing as well.

The Hara deck is also thinner and has more cut out of the middle

Hi Chad, thanx for the reply. I have an out the box pro4 with foams running on carpet, & its as good as anything out there. I am looking at purchasing a Hara pro4 to be set up for bitumen racing only. I run in stock & soon 19 turn classes.I was going to fit a 2mm chassis to this car to help with a little traction, either that or save some coin for a cyclone, but I like the pro4.
One last thing, fitting 3700's into a pro4, anyone successfully done this & if so what is the best way ?
Thanx guys

I was thinking about that the other day. What I might do is cut out rectangle slots where the current slots are. Then buy a Yokomo battery tray and glue it in.

Get some coutersunk washers, 2 button head screws, and 2 o-rings (same as shock o-rings.) Turn the coutersunk washer upsidedown on the button head screw, then place the o-ring inside the washer. Once the buttonhead screw is through the washer and the o-ring, then thread the screw into the top of the upperdeck in place of the original steering rack screws. Don't tighten the screws down completely. Just get them close so that the o-ring can flex when the chassis does.

Take a look at some pics of the 2005 Hara edition's steering rack upperdeck mounts and you'll get the idea.

Speaking of the o-ring mod, has anybody tried at Hara-spec upper deck on carpet?

I'm currently using a BMI 3mm main chassis and upperdeck on my carpet Pro4, but I usually have a tweak problem after a slight tap on the boards. Usually it not too bad and I can just drive around it (albiet more slowly!), but it is still annoying to have to re-set my car in the pits after every tap-o-the-boards.

I know the general idea behind the Hara spec upper deck is for lateral flex, but will this flex do more hurt than help on carpet?
